Went for a buffet after a funeral.
Amazing spread. Five different sandwiches, quiche, spring rolls, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, chicken balls plus a selection of cakes served with tea and coffee.
Best buffet I have ever seen!
Far better than top hotels and location is convenient for the crematorium.
Sunday roast was very enjoyable, but mainly posting this review to show my appreciation for Anna! She did so much to make sure all our needs were met and did it all with a smile! Great atmosphere because of this, and the drinks were lovely too.
A great place to eat during covid lockdown, service, food and beer very good. We will be going again.

Excellent Landlord ail. The tomato soup would have been better if it had arrived hot. The bread on the side of the soup was not tasty (either serve a better bread, or do not serve bread at all)
4 stars due to the ail and the local atmosphere.
Visited on 22/04/2023, there was a good choice of dishes and I chose the green Thai chicken curry which was lovely. Other family members I was with had a variety of dishes which were lovely to and the portions were really generous and freshly cooked. Would definitely visit again.
I went here for my birthday meal and I have to say I had a fantastic time. There was 8 of us and every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the portions were great and one of my party was dairy and gluten free and they created her a wonderful meal and made her feel apart of it all, nothing seemed too much trouble for them and everything was cooked to perfection. They certainly helped make my birthday special.
We tried the White Lion for the first time for a relatives birthday. The food was delicious, served quickly and we all enjoyed our meals, every plate was empty! We will return!

We booked the White Horse for a wake event for my father. The food provided, professional service and value for money were excellent. Very friendly bar staff who were able to look after 50+ guests with no issues. Would thoroughly recommend.

A great meal and a nice welcoming pub
We came to the White Horse for a quick lunch on Saturday. The food was delicious: the chicken fajitas were to die for, and the ribs were amazing too. Very generous portions too! They have a very nice outdoor seating area, and the staff were lovely too. We'll definitely be coming back here in the future!

I visited this pub with my family for an evening meal. It was quiet and clean. The food was served in good time and tasted good. I had ribs. The steak was also very good. Prices are reasonable. Would go back.
