Great experience! The chef went above and beyond to make my birthday boy happy (lighting the fire on our table several times for his delight). Food was prepared just right and tasted delicious (meat was very tender, scallops melted in our mouth, chicken, rice and veggies were cooked right). We were full and had plenty of leftovers for the next day. I recommend you book an earlier time (5PM), as it gets crowded in the evening. Only letdown, for me, was the atmosphere music (surround sound had technical issues); but it was low volume, so it wasn’t a deal breaker. We all plan to return for another meal there soon.

The first thing you realize when you step into the restaurant is the strong fishy smell. when I had ordered takeout I noticed it but didn't pay much attention. Today we dined in and the smell is everywhere. We tried changing places but there was another muggy smell around the bamboo lined seats. Next thing is the sticky tables like someone spilled syrup and hastily cleaned up. In my opinion, the restaurant is badly managed and we saw one of the chef or helper preparing the vegetables on the table of a booth. He went chop, chop with his cleaver cutting up cucumbers and other vegetables, perhaps for the teppanyaki dishes right in front of us. There were no other guest in the restaurant at the time. The waitress was kind to listen to our needs but could be a bit more English speaking/understanding. The food was brought out quickly and it was delicious. There's a lot in the bento boxes and we could not finish everything. Obviously we must have had a lot of appetizers to start with. The teriyaki stuff is obviously deep fried/oily and also fill you up fast. You can't stop eating them once you start. Overall it is a good place to eat if you don't mind the smell, sticky surfaces and the other distractions.

Very accommodating!! Virgin drinks for my pregnant self that tasted great!! The cook was so entertaining and made us laugh the entire time. Only downside is that the waitress got the entire tables order wrong but since the cook always double checks he made sure we all got the right thing. He was really really awesome. Definitely coming back!! Portions were so big I had so much left.

The food was ok not bad at all. But the waitress chasing after us because her tip was not enough was horrible. All she did was bring water. $20 seemed like a nice tip on a $60 meal considering she just brought water to the table

I went here yesterday for my birthday and they gave me a free entree! The servers were all professional and attentive, and the hibachi chef was relatively entertaining. I'm spoiled because I remember Hunter, he was the best hibachi chef ever to live and I was lucky enough to see him perform many times. He pulled out all the stops, and if he liked you he would let you peek under his apron. There will never be another like Hunter, but they still serve good food here so I'll be back.

This is the only Hibachi restaurant in Boston (it's in Cambridge), but there are no other ones as far as I can see. It's at a hotel, so parking is available, and they validate, so it's easy to get to. Hibachi is always fun, so everyone should try it if you haven't already. And this place also has the Hibachi drinks like Mai Tai, Sapporo and Sake. While we were there I think there were three groups celebrating birthdays, so it's a fun place to go for that. They play a song and everyone was having fun with it.
