Bao Nation

I would've given this place 0 star if I could. This is Indian style Bao. The portion is very very small. You get a tiny piece of pork belly per bao. The taste is mediocre. The stall looked empty when we walked in and we should've walked out by then. The people across the stall who runs the Dosa Factory is also running this Bao Nation stall. It's not very good. We got the Libby Bao, Central Bao, bird bao, s'more bao and chicken rice bowl and they are all worse than average. You would be better off eating at McDonalds! Don't go here - it is truly a waste of your money.

We ordered delivery and they forgot part of the order. When I called them about it, they refused to do anything about fixing the situation. For the part of the order they did remember, the baos were not good at all. The meat was dry, the dough was very sad and the dumplings were just not worth the calories. There is much better similar food in the area, so there's no need to ever order from there.

Portion too small for price I paid WITH app discount. I ordered chicken rice bowl with sauteed veggies. Asked for yellow rice looked like they put a little saffron on the mushy basmati rice and didn't mix it well. Then there was iceberg lettuce and some mixed veggies that tasted like they came from a can.The name made me think it was it was Asian cuisine but it was Indian. Bao Nation is a nook in the corner of Dosa Factory. Some of the other reviews are actually referring to Dosa Factory. Bao Nation doesn't have a buffet, or even really employees. If you stand at the Bao Nation counter and wave at the Dosa Factory employees, one of them might come over (usually takes a while for them to bother). Every time I've been they've been out of at least some of the ingredients, and the ones they do have look pretty sad. If you eat based solely on what actually looks fresh you might get something OK... or you might have to leave and come back. There are other places around that do much better food with much better service.

I had such high hopes for Bao Nation... And it fell flat. I got a bun with pork belly, and the skin was so chewy it really turned me off and I had to spit it out. My friend got a different bun and her meat was super dry to the point that she didn't eat it. I'm sure everything is made in house, but it's all sitting in the case waiting to be plopped on your bun, and for some ingredients that's just not the best. Flavors were okay, portions are small. Wouldn't return, which makes me sad!

Soooo......if I could give a zero I would. Went into order a bubble tea and no one was there to serve me. A gentleman from the adjoining resturant Dosa Factory came over to take my order. Then he went back to his side and proceeded to make food and service several other patrons which toik about 15-20 minutes. I just wanted a bubble tea. He finally came to make my tea, after I said something. As I watched this man make my tea he proceed to use a cup cover, no measuring, to scoop in the green honeydew mixture..no fresh melon like I am used to in Chinatown, then he took a bag of sugar, opened it and without measuring poured the bag in to my tea!!!@ ummm...I'm pretty sure that's not how you make it!!! Come to think of it the place was in disarray, dirty, and completely unorganized. Since I had already paid I took the tea...womp...womp..just as I thought after my initial sip, I really should not have drank any, it was way to sweet. The tapioca pearls were soooo disgusting! I threw it away immediately! I will never step foot in there again! The worst!!!
