Wanted to visit this tapas bar for a while and it met all expectations. Intimate, cozy, kind and attentive service, and the food was delicious. Prosciutto wrapped bocconcini; baked escargot and antojitos were very tasty and a good amount for four for happy hour. Good value, great experience.

We went for dinner here back in December 2021 for my boyfriend's birthday. Everything exceeded expectations! We had the Lobster Gratin and Prosciutto Wrapped Brie for appetizers and they were both AMAZING! Would recommend both dishes! We had the Creamy Chicken Tuscan Gnocchi and I believe it was a Prosciutto and Peach Flatbread (not currently on the menu). I loved the flatbread (please bring it back)! My boyfriend liked the gnocchi! The cheesecake was also delicious. Would definitely recommend!!!

Ambience is truly magical, the service is excellent, and the food is to die for. — We chose to participate in the tasting menu and we allowed the waiter to choose our dishes for us, and I’m so glad we did. We were overwhelmed with the incredible textures and flavours of each meal. Our waiter was highly trained and very knowledgeable about each dish and how it was prepared. The sommelier chose a wonderful bottle of wine based on our personal tastes and pairings for the meal, one that we never would have chosen. Overall, this experience left us dazzled. We will be back soon.

I’m a musician who plays at the Aging Oak frequently. I have absolutely no bad things to say about this fantastic Hespeler business. Peter, Melissa, Sean, Andrew, Francis, and the whole crew at the Oak do a great job of making sure everything is up to quality, and that everyone enjoys themselves. I highly suggest you check out this great local establishment!! You have GOT to try the smoked old fashions, to die for!! Keep it up everyone at The Aging Oak!!!

Lovely place we finally had a chance to try for an occasion. Drinks and food and live music were perfect. Thanks to the owner for having such a great, welcoming spot.

Cosy little joint with an extensive whisky menu. We were patiently given pretty impressive recommendations for cocktails and whiskies. They also do whisky flights and usually have some rare finds on their shelf. The food menu albeit limited is a good companion to the drink. Unfortunately they were out of the smoked caesar salad which sounded fantastic, but the breaded avocado spears and bruschetta were quite nice.

Love this place! Classy but not pretentious if that makes sense. Fan of their flatbreads. Good selection of beers. And they do smoked drinks! Try a smoked Caesar! The key is to drink it WITHOUT the straw so you smell the smoke and therefore taste it more. Good high end scotch too. All the good vibes that you would expect from this family business. Owners: plz bring back the Gnocchi! It was some of the best we’ve had!

Our mantra is to “collect moments not things” and we collected some pretty special moments at The Aging Oak located on Queen St., downtown Hespeler in Cambridge. While enjoying the performer on keyboards and guitar who played a great selection of music that triggered a lot of nostalgia, we enjoyed wonderful appetizers of cheesy spinach dip, shrimp gratinée, BAKED! buffalo chicken antojitos and a cheeseburger flatbread; desert was cheesecake with chocolate sauce. The atmosphere was cozy, quaint, and the vibe was super cool because of Sean, Maggie, and Peter who made our first time amazing and memorable. This will not be our last time visiting this hidden gem! Highly recommend! Make reservations so you won’t be disappointed!
