We booked a table at The Rag for a family celebration and it was a lovely experience. The staff made us feel welcomed, the service was attentive and the food was excellent. It made for an enjoyable and pleasantly memorable experience for us all. Thank you.

Lovely little campsite, excellent, very clean, other campers very friendly.

Really good local walks and castle ring minutes away by foot.

Met up with friends who live local to the Rag on a Saturday night. We were warmly welcomed and taken to our pre-booked table, staff were friendly and attentive, most tables were occupied. There was a good selection of meals on offer, reasonably priced. Our starters were delicious and portion sizes generous. Our mains were also well cooked ( duck, roast cod and meat pie) with lovely flavours which enhanced the meal to a different level. I would definitely try this pub if you are in the area.

Food was excellent, staff were friendly and efficient. Already booked to go back. Great selection of food. Note under 14s not allowed in the restaurant in the evening, unsure of day time rules or outside areas

What a fantastic place. Went here at the spur of the moment and ended up stopping all night.
Staff were very friendly, tent outside with a group playing. There's also an outside bar and a pizza/burger shack.
There were no chavs / trouble at all.
Good food and good prices.
Just bare in mind, it's a dog friendly pub. But we had no problem with it

Had a table for 10 on Saturday night. Food was delicious, plenty of choice too. Staff friendly and efficient. Good selection of Real ales.

we have visited the rag many times its one of our favourite restaurants, so we chose to have my 50th birthday meal here. Our group of 12 were seated in an exclusive area between restaurant and the bar as requested ,food was served in a timely manner and was the usual high standard. All in our group commented how good the food and service was and everyone had a great evening. Once again The Rag done us proud.

Booked an evening meal for 2 and was not disappointed. Both starters were tasty the goats cheese and red onion tart in filo pastry was delicious and much larger than expected. For mains we both chose steak and ale pie with creamy mash, chips and Al dente veg. The pie was huge and probably the best I'd ever tasted. Friendly staff and excellent service. We'll definitely be returning. Excellent wheelchair accessfrom car park and inside. Easily able to get wheelchair under the table . Thank you
