From my phone call to book to the greeting and service.... Maddie was wonderful. She was friendly, welcoming, accommodating and despite being rushed off her feet, very calm.
The rest of the staff were great too. Our carvery was lovely and the children's meals good value for money too.

Up for a business trip and stayed two nights. Ate breakfast and dinner here for both days and I have to say the food was fantastic and in this day of everyone trying to profiteer by raising their prices to silly levels, the midweek deals were brilliant value. Half price burgers on the Tuesday night
It's a decent pub, friendly, quick service and plenty of seating inside and out.
Always best to book ahead, refill soft drinks available. It is not table service you order at the bar and pay at the bar. Meals genuinely come out in a timely fashion.

The food was good though we were quite a large group (10) and the service could have been more prompt, and I do accept there were other tables in, yet it was a Wednesday lunchtime so perhaps not a full compliment on duty. Good value overall.
Done the 2 meals for £10.49 and upgraded with extra chicken. Absolutely amazing. Fantastic food for the money. Service was good too. Had the caramel apple Betty for pud. Meals, puddings and drinks - just over 20 quid. Amazing.

Went for breakfast with my sisters. 5* because the service from Claire deserves a 5*. She was professional, polite and efficient. The food was delicious too (unlimited everything if you pick the cooked breakfast option). We will definitely be returning for breakfast.
