Called in on spec.A wide ranging menu with adult special offers .We had Scampi and Chips and Lasagne ,garlic bread and side salad .
Followed by dessert of Chocolate Fudge cake and Ice cream and Apple biscotti pie and ice cream. With drinks.Good food friendly staff and great price .

Visited for breakfast with daughter and grandson. I had traditional daughter had breakfast burger and grandson had sausage and toast. Food was well cooked, got and well presented. The girl who served us was very friendly and helpful. It wasn't overly busy but felt comfortable

We've only had breakfast here so far but it's been really tasty every time. The breakfast burger on a brioche bun is 🤌. The staff are really friendly too. Will continue to go here.

We visit the Merchant twice a week for quiz night! Having only loved to Cannock less than 2 years ago, we have found the pub friendly, welcoming and great food. The staff are always smiling.
We especially enjoy the SpeedQuizzing on Fridays with Ash. They are fun, engaging and the bonus rounds are always exciting! 😀 Would definitely recommend visiting!

Great place for food and drink, really friendly atmosphere. Always made to feel welcomed, spacious and clean. Food selection and prices is always very good. Great host for gatherings when I've arranged family and friends to meet for a meal. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Never a bad meal or experience.

Quiz nights on the Thursday(pen and paper) and Friday(speedquiz) each week are great fun with a fantastic quizmaster, lively and inclusive atmosphere.

First time we have been in the merchant, it was very busy but my husband and I managed to get a table. My husband decided to have the full breakfast, and when I say full, that's exactly what it was. I felt sure he wouldn't be able to eat it all, but he did. He said it was delicious 😋. I had scampi, chips and garden peas. It was ok, but I thought the chips were a bit dry. But it won't stop us from going back. The staff were very attentive, and the service was excellent 👏

I visited this pub on Sunday 27th May.. Myself and my son ordered a steak... one being rare and the other medium.. the young man who served us had no manners. After a 25 minute wait he gave us cutlery.. then announced to me they no longer have any steak knives, and gave us 2 forks only!! He had got the steaks mixed up if thats what you could call them.. They were no bigger than a tiny lamb chop and full of fat.. i hasten to say the barmaid who was very polite sorted out the cutlery.. following this i asked for condiments and was given a staring glare by the young man.. the chips were disgusting.. pale oven powdery and the peas were frozen cold and raw... I would not recommend eating here.. The meals cost £25.. i always say u pay for what you get but on this occasion being ripped off springs to mind!!

Visit regularly and most times is very good. Have to admit it has not been very good at times but has not been bad as to not warrant visiting again. Staff work hard and Chloe in particular always has a polite and professional manner even during trying times.
