Really busy little cafe (you know it’s going to be good!) with a couple of front tables, indoor tables & garden space (it was full so we didn’t manage to see the garden). We sat in the front. Menu definitely could have been clearer & in larger font. Food was really good & we were welcome to take out although we didn’t think coffee was that good comparing to other places. Major low was when we ordered cheese panini & 2 spinach quiches… lady asked if we want some salad with it so we said yes… not expecting to be charged for it at the end £3.25 pp. Queue was really long, from both sides but we weren’t ready to pay £6.50 extra so I queued to ask what that charge was. The lady said its the salads, I said we had no idea we had to pay extra for it & were not prepared to pay extra(elsewhere when you order quiche or sandwiches you get extra salad &/or crisps without additional charge) but herself & other 2 members of staff just stood there in silence looking at me so I just took it on the chin & left. I’d like to suggest that next time when you offer things like this just clarify that it’ll be extra charge. It would save us frustration & you’d get a 5* review because food was really good (especially Honey Cake). Nobody likes feeling like they were being done over.

Quaint little cafe at the heart of Canterbury.
The food was delicious, with a range of dishes ordered by the table and everyone being complimentary about their choice and enjoying it so much we even ended up having a dessert at lunch time.
The cafe is very small, so if having space is a consideration you might need to check first.
The staff were great, helpful, chatty and encouraging of our little one ordering for himself.
Can't rate highly enough.

Delightful way to start our day in Canterbury! Really enjoyed sitting outside in the garden and would highly recommend. My almond croissant was amazing — my husband really enjoyed his petit dejeuner as well!

My husband and I stopped here for late lunch. Staff are all friendly and warm welcoming. Small dinning area but enough to enjoy 😉 and also available garden seating. My husband had a ham and chess croissant 🥐 it was very nice. And salad 🥗 is worth to pay. Lovely !!! And they have chocolate pistachio cake 🍰 it’s not really sweat, and tasty great! You should try. When is nice weather we may Come back.

We had coffee and tea here. There's plenty of seating with a lovely little courtyard, but being rather a chilly day we like most people sat comfortably inside. The service was good with friendly staff.. currently this is for some reason cash only, if you do want a visit we recommend it.

Lovely cafe. Friendly, laid back ambience and very dog friendly. The outside seating area was really nice on a warm day like today. Will definitely return for lunch soon, the baguettes looked delicious!

The food was lovely. I had two of the pastries and they were both delicious. The coffee was nice too and the staff were friendly and attentive. You can get really nice food here for a good price.

Staff was really friendly. Tea pot for two was nice! Honey cake was delicious! The menu was little bit puzzled. Please make a clear one with photos if can. Nice little cafe in Canterbury. Recommend it!

A lovely courtyard garden, and good food. I had a sandwich which I thoroughly enjoyed and I heard the lady at the table next to me say it was the best salad she'd had in a long time.
The majority of staff were happy, smiley and helpful however our waiter seemed to be a grumpy teenage boy. The courtyard is charming with lots of potted plants and lovely flowers. The disguise for the rubbish crate needs a lot more thought, and our table was right beside it so it was very noticeable.

I have been frequenting this establishment for many years now and honestly it hasn’t changed. I consistently receive great service, from eager happy members of staff. The owner greets his customers in French to add for a more authentic service and the food never fails to disappoint. Despite its increasing popularity the staff have managed to adapt and overcome to avoid any issues with seating. I almost wish less people knew about it’s existence. I can’t praise the place enough, get the soup. The coffee is great, and the breakfast is good value for money also.

Beautiful little cozy place even for solo travellers!
Coffee was great and so was the Almond croissant!
They gave me a free sweet treat at the exit.

Such a great ambience to spent time with friends. Croissants, hot chocolate and muffins are really delicious. Friendly service. Seating area with a garden at the back gives an aesthetic vibe.

This is a gem of a café. We had a great French breakfast and went back in the afternoon for drinks and cake. Worth going out of your way to visit. A highlight of our trip to Canterbury.

Thank you so much for squeezing us in shortly before closing time tonight. Your vegetarian baguette was absolutely delicious, as were the coffees. We had been sightseeing all day and wanted a quick tasty snack/meal. Great service with a smile ... and two happy Aussie tourists were well satisfied. Highly recommend your lovely cafe .... thanks muchly :)

Have been visiting Cafe St. Pierre for years. I believe it is the best cafe in town. Staff, food and even the snugness make it first class. Thank you all.

The best breakfast in Canterbury - go for the classic petit-déjeuner français with croissant and a bucket of good coffee, or for lunch they do an excellent croque monsieur and great baguettes. Guaranteed a warm welcome from Michel and his staff. Mille mercis!
