Mum and I had a light lunch here (beef stir fry ho fun noddles & won ton soup to share) and it was delightful. Mum was craving Chinese food after a week visiting the UK and not having had any real Chinese food. The lady at the counter spoke to us in Cantonese.
Came in for the lunch special, which had been discontinued. The set menus are great value, especially if you're in the habit of sharing anyway. We were both pretty hungry, but still had enough left over to make a decent supper
Loved their pancake roll! I've tried many takeout/restaurants trying to replicate the ones I enjoyed in London and Golden Kitchen surpassed any I've enjoyed before. Non greasy, tasty food and thick curry sauce with just the right spice.. for me anyway

Giving it 5* as loved the taste so much. I know it's full of MSG and salt, but my stomach loves their Singapore fried rice, and their spring rolls are delicious with a very thick soft coating. I only did takeouts but their restaurant is nice and chilled in there.
I have been ordering and eating in Golden Kitchen for several years, i must admit that my first time wasn’t good. It was about 5 years ago. Then I ordered from all the Chinese take aways in Canterbury and by a mistake, ordered again in Golden Kitchen! I’m so pleased that i did it. since that every week i have been ordering and eating in and the food never disappoints.. delivery is quick and the food always piping hot. Best Chinese in Canterbury, so far.
Cheep tasty and fun. Look near the end of the menu for a customized meal option. My favourite is shrimp in an onion and ginger sauce with egg fried rice and added cashews. I get it every time. They also have lovely soups right at the back of the menu and they are very nice.
I was so surprised to see the mixed reviews of Golden Kitchen. We have lived in Canterbury for 4 years now and have had more takeaways than I can remember (as bad as that sounds!). Food has always been delivered piping hot and fresh, and always delicious. After trying others beforehand, this is definitely the best in Canterbury - our go to Chinese takeaway!
Arrived late evening on a Sunday for an overnight stay in Canterbury and this was the only place we found still serving after 9pm. Food was very tasty and portions just right. I'll be kind and not critique their choice of music 🤦

Ate in had a nice atmosphere had the family business vibe . Was good food we had egg fried rice with roast duck Chinese style along with spring rolls .
