Great atmosphere and brilliant staff!
As soon as you walk in you’re greeted with big smiles and a warm welcome. Unfortunately we had already eaten and were just looking for some drinks, I say unfortunately as the food looked and smelt amazing. The Jalapeño Margarita and Old fashioned’s were seriously good. I strongly recommend a visit as I would say it’s one of the best establishment’s we’ve visited in the Kent area.
Thank you Jo, George and Adam for a brilliant experience.

One of the best steak ive ever had definitely a birthday meal to remember

This place was first class from the minute we walked through the door. The decoration, style, furniture, lighting have clearly been well thought out and provide an immediately enticing atmosphere. The food was simply incredible with perfectly sized portions. Service and staff were superb and very knowledgeable with regards to the menu. An all round pleasure to eat and laugh with fantastic company and wonderful friends ..... And the cocktails are off the charts!!!

Have been going to Herd for a while and love this place. From the start when making the reservation, to turning up on the day, Herd made us feel very special. We booked the ‘Hide’ (a tucked away gem at the front of the venue) which was the perfect size for our gathering, Lexi and her amazing team, had a huge surprise for us as there were balloons that were beautifully arranged around the area and there was also a bottle of fizz awaiting us. It was a small gathering of our closest friends, Herd made this special for everyone, their charm and incredible hospitality meant we never had to go to the bar, although they were very busy in the restaurant, they made such an effort to make sure we were always topped up and provided for. I honestly can say this was not just a birthday celebration, but an incredible experience me my friends will never ever forget. Thank you Herd!!❤️❤️❤️

Very delicious, even forgot to take a picture of the scallops but I don’t think they have it on the menu now, same for the broccoli and desert.
The mocktail was very refreshing, the scallops tender, the sides mouthwatering, the steak juicy and the desert delicate but sweet.
The chefs know what they are doing and the servers are very friendly and polite. I would definitely go again as it’s one of my top 5 steak places I’d say, only losing to some more expensive London ones.
That isn’t a bad thing as it was definitely good value for what was being provide and still would say this is more on finer dining end. The decor is also light, open and industrial feeling.

Had the most beautiful afternoon on Sunday for our anniversary
The quality of the dinner and the service from start to finish was sublime. It's ridiculous that this place isn't heaving for Sunday lunch.
You'd be mental not to give this place a go.

Whisper was Herd is going to be a Kent Hawksmoor. Fact is, it’s actually better than any Hawksmoor. Food on point, staff amazing, GM fantastic.
Best Sunday lunch EVER!!

The atmosphere was excellent. Lexi and her staff were so welcoming and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and I can honestly say, the best food. I have ever tasted with a mixture of tastes. This restaurant is a MUST if you are visiting Canterbury.

Great cocktails, great wine, great service. Mac & cheese and the (genuine) wagyu steak were the mouth-watering highlights. Newer restaurant so working out some kinks - but the owners are onto something great! Definitely give it a try.

Really impressed with this new restaurant. Inside is beautifully decorated and surprisingly larger than the outside suggests.
Food was top quality and reasonably priced. The roast potatoes were delicious, and the beef and hake were cooked perfectly.
Nice to see beef tartare on the menu and the sticky toffee pudding was fantastic as well.
Lots of choice on the wine list - we went for the Portuguese Alabastro which was very nice. Some comfortable seating at the front of the building and at the bar which would be nice if popping in for an evening drink as a welcome alternative to the Falstaff.
This place looks like a great addition to the best restaurants in Canterbury and would struggle to find a better sunday roast in the city.
