Delightful cafe located on the High Street Arcade. Cozy overstuffed chairs in the restaurant and cafe style tables in the arcade. The menu offers a wide range of food, teas and coffees. Our party enjoyed a variety of coffees and only ordered tea cakes. We will definitely return soon and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a proper British tea room, I'd give 6 stars for atmosphere if I could. This is a great place to bring visitors. And I should mention the staff was friendly and efficient, which is always appreciated

The iced coffee is absolutely delicious - you could tell they use high quality coffee beans. The staff were super friendly which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, with lots of different sofas and chairs to choose from. It's the perfect spot to catch up with friends, catch up with some reading, or just chill. Definitely coming back again.

We stopped at Barker Tea House when we were exploring Cardiff because it looked cute and comfortable. We had a late lunch afternoon tea, sitting in the arcade walk. I appreciated that the seats had warm blankets you could sit on or place across your lap to stay warmer. We enjoyed all of the food that came with our afternoon tea, as well as the tea itself.

This place has a very relaxing atmosphere and the food was absolutely delicious. Especially the bread from the sandwiches, so good!! The chicken in the chicken salad sandwich however was not cut small enough. It was a great place to relax after some sightseeing.

Lovely selection of teas and cakes, really nice for a tea break. Tea served in proper tea pots with nice china cups too. The staff were nice and friendly and helpful. I had the smashed avocado on toast and was impressed with the chunky slab of bread it came on 👍 the only thing that would have made it better would have been to have a runny poached egg. The egg had clearly been sat for a bit.

Gluten free scones, brownies, and cake here to enjoy with your afternoon tea. Great tea selection, I enjoyed the oolong tea best. They have great outdoor seating and soft cozy chairs inside as well. Really cool old building, great staff, and quick service. You pick a table and order at the counter, they bring your order to you. We stopped here twice for afternoon tea while staying in cardiff, the tea being the spotlight here, the gluten free food options were just okay as most GF food is sort of dry and bland but they do have the options which is a huge plus. Great looking tea sandwiches which I was told were delicious.

Slightly biased as we do love a high quality Tea Room, and this is up there with the best of them. So glad we decided to queue for an interior table as it's even more stunning inside. Shared a 'proper' BLT sandwich and a cream tea, plus a cafetiere of coffee. All excellent 👌 Couldn't fault anything, including the service or the price.

Really great place. There is a massive choice of tea which comes in a cast iron teapot with proper teacup and saucer. Their coffee comes in a cafetière which is cool too. The yoghurt and granola fruit bowl was lush (and a very generous size!) - suitably filling and something different. Eggs Benedict is also highly recommended and came quickly. The toilets were very clean and tidy, and kept with the decor theme of the place. The afternoon tea looked amazing so will definitely be going back to have it! Highly recommend this place.

So new favourite coffee spot in Cardiff. The vibe absolutely unmatched, good coffee great food and fantastic service! Not to mention the seating is so comfortable you could literally sleep in it. I had the Jammer Blondie which is now my new favourite. If you need a coffee and a place to do some work look no further than here!
