My boyfriend and I went for breakfast this morning and ordered an American breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon and maple syrup) and a veggie breakfast - both of which were delicious and very good value for money.
Over the visit several things happened that will ensure we go again and again. Although the coffee machine had broken, they were short staffed and full to capacity
1. we were still served very quickly
2. the owner still let a young boy have everything he ordered, even though he didn't have enough money without a second word and was very discrete
3. the owner noticed that a lady hadn't had a chance to eat her food cause she was feeding her baby so he took her food away and brought it back hot so she could enjoy it properly without her even asking - she was very grateful
4. the owner forgot a small milkshake for a large order and as soon as he realised he had forgotten automatically upgraded them to a large shake with an apology.
I imagine it was a very stressful hour or so for him but he didn't show it and the service was impeccable. All in all it was a great experience on a rainy Saturday and we would definitely recommend!
Took my twins Reggie and Ronny to LUVLY GRUB for their birthday meal and it didnt disappoint. The food was outstanding and the burgers were big enough for a small family to share 1 between them (but of course we didn't) The staff was very attentive, the place was spotless and The owner (the evil midget looking one) was very nice in deed so dont be put off lol. I recommend anyone to try this place, its cheap as chips, wonderful quality meals and the desserts will leave you speechless. Well done Luvly Grub. Top marks from me and mine ������������
Staff are polite as can be,food is amazing,prices are amazingly cheap. Couldn't rate highly enough. Luvly grub deserves 10/10
Update: they have a burger van on the site I work on, and today they noticed I didn't have a warm hat to wear in the -6 cold. The lovely 2 people running the van bought me a hat to wear and didn't charge a penny.
Went here on Friday and had one of the best burgers of my life... the CF3 burger, with beef brisket and string onions on top of the smashed burger! So good! Well worth a visit. I'm definitely returning soon. PS I believe it's changed from what it used to be, now being more take away with some outside seating.
First experienced luvly grub last Saturday and was so impressed with the food and the attitude of the owner that I brought my daughter today. Didn't disappoint. I had a baguette which was really nice but still preferred my breakfast, burger next to try.
Only one criticism, and not sure if much can be done about it, but really disappointed that a customer felt the need to smoke in the doorway. So glad we moved before they lit up a) because we were eating and b) because we had a new baby with us!
Nice clean, chef takes care in his food and presentation. The staff are friendly, a wide range of customers. Have to say it's one.of the best burgers I've had and the dirty fries were amazing. Nice selection of food on offer from breakfast, subs, salads and American BBQ fare. A pleasant surprise that to be honest I wouldn't expect in splott/ tremorfa but glad someone has instead of like everyone else going to city road area where no doubt they would've cleaned up.
Great food served in spotless place. Staff are very nice and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble.
Oh yes and then there are the prices....excellent value for money. Will definitely be going back.
This was my first trip to Luvly Grub and I will definitely be going again. The burgers were fantastic! The burger patty itself was full of flavour and a very generous size, salad was fresh and the whole burger had just the right amount of sauce. Very generous portion of fries and one of my friends upgraded to the dirty pizza fries which I recommend if you want to indulge. The milkshakes were also very tasty. I can't fault the food, service or value for money and can't wait to visit Luvly Grub again.
Wow. Just nailed a burger from this place. Wow. Just wow. Finally a burger joint that serves proper burgers! Thick, juicy, suculant! Sooooo good! Staff were really helpful on the phone and it arrived in 30 minutes! Beautiful! Roll on my next hangover! 🍔
Absolutely love this place! Food is amazing and exceptional value for money. If I could give 10 stars I would. Can't wait to visit again!
Amazing food and service. You'd pay a fortune elsewhere for the size meals at Luvly Grub. Really impressed and will definitely be ordering food from there again. Really delicious food.
Quality. Best breakfast ive had in cardiff(and ive had a lot of breakfasts!) Very well priced, offer takeout, small place cooking my kinda food. Great addition to the area
