I just love glam dogs. As a die hard vegetarian in a meat-eating world, to get such a high standard meal I can eat is an absolute dream - and in a hot dog place none the less - this extraordinary restaurant has really made Cardiff what it is today for me. I've heard the super meaty hot dogs are the best you can get too and will be recommending Hogwurst to all of my friends.
The staff are top notch and the hot chocolate is also to die for.

Visited last night with my partner and had the best sit down meal I think we have ever had. Relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff, amazing fresh quality food. And board games!!
We used a groupon voucher so it was even better value. This place is a hidden gem!
I went here with a friend for a cup of hot chocolate, and I keep going back again and again! I would also recommend their cheesy fries. Enjoy!
I really like Hogwurst because as a student, I was able to work there, use the free wifi, and have great coffee and tea while at it. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
On top of that the food is great. You have to like hotdogs at least a little bit to appreciate it, but Hogwurst's strive to use local product results in quality dogs. They also have ingenious combinations (the Dogfather is a pizza hotdog - how can life get any better?) that taste incredible. Definitely worth a visit even though it's a little outside the city centre.
Chilled out lil' student spot, read a book, play the guitar or just sit out in the sun (summer) .Milkshakes are my personal favorites here, you can mix, match and make your own shakes ! .. Also a decent variety of light bites and hot drinks. Banana & peanut butter milkshake and sweet potato fries are drool worthy !

Quality in quality out. That’s why the hot dogs at newly opened Hogwurst in Cathays are so delicious. Strangely, it’s a simple formula which so many others fail to follow. Hogwurst take a top quality snappy, smokey frankfurter from legendary Gloucestershire charcutier Native Breeds (they also supply London’s mega-acclaimed Bubbledogs ). They combine it with a light, fluffy, sweet brioche bun from Roath’s own Allen’s Bakery . And, unsurprisingly, they’re onto a winner. I sampled two excellent dogs from their menu. Firstly, the classic Hog Dog (£4.50) topped with finely diced red onion, a smattering of shredded iceberg, ketchup and mild mustard. Secondly, the even tastier and also traditional Ze German (£4.50) topped with richness piercing sauerkraut, mustard, ketchup and crispy onions. There are more exotic hot dogs on the menu – the Hogamama (£6.50) is topped with pulled pork and apple slaw whilst the Slum Dog is topped with curry sauce (£4.50). There are also plain or dirty fries (£1.50 - £4.50) if you’re not in the game for two hot dogs like me. Mrs G’s lab mates have sampled them and can vouch for their quality. In keeping with Hogwurst’s shabby chic café vibe, they also serve coffees, teas and cakes. For dessert I ordered a crisp and immensely gooey chocolate and hazelnut brownie (£1.50) topped with chopped pistachios and grated orange zest. It’s worth noting that Hogwurst stays open until 8pm Monday - Saturday and allow you to bring your own booze – making for a bargainous meal out by all accounts. Next time in fact I might take a note out of Bubbledog’s book and bring a bottle of champagne to wash my snags down with. Amazing place to meet your friends for lunch over some gourmet hot dogs, curly fries and coffee. Seating and ambience is just apt with happy vibes spread all around. There are games if you want to pick any. Ideal place to hangout for lot of Cardiff University hostel Students living nearby.
Came here and ordered the "Glam Dawg" because I heard it was one of the best places in Cardiff to try out the Glamorgan Sausage and I definitely wasn't disappointed! The Staff were incredibly friendly as well to make the whole experience highly recommendable.
Best hot dogs in Cardiff! Got them through a great de through wriggle, but would be worth the money at normal price. So delicious. Plus best milkshakes ever!

Great place with gourmet hotdogs. One could also just sit there and chill as the coffee's nice and so is the ambience. My favourite hangover food in Cardiff 😀
Get your dog hot at this fine establishment with its fantastic range of hotdogs, snacks, and milkshakes. Highly recommended with its great staff and delicious flavours.
Amazing place to eat and drink for students. Drinks are reasonably priced, you're guaranteed good service and a lively atmosphere.
Can get really busy on one of their event nights, as they do tend to have kareoke nights and quiz nights, and of course the weekends.
Very cheap to park and a decent amount of spaces
Really tasty food - some of the best hot dogs around. I highly recommend the Texan dog - wasn't as fussed on the chilli dog but that's not to say it wasn't good. The only thing I'm not particularly a fan of about this place is the whole hipster feel, but then I love eating off a plate and drinking out of a decent glass as opposed to a baking tray with a small jam jar.
Me and my girlfriend had pulled pork and vegetarian hot dogs with fries - all super delicious and big portions. The staff were hilarious and friendly and had us doubled over with laughter. Thanks to the guy serving us in the red checked shirt and the chef :)
