Went here for a birthday meal mid week, and as always we had an amazing time. Food was spot on service was excellent. Our server was Ryan who was polite, chatty and helpful without being pushy. Would definitely recommend.
First visit and very impressed the service was outstanding food delicious and the comfort of restaurant was perfect highly recommend and we will definitely be returning 10/10 well done
A wonderful visit, greeted by friendly staff in a clean, luxurious and spacious restaurant. The food here was served in a very acceptable time even though the establishment was almost full to capacity. A wide selection of drinks are available at the bar while you wait for your table. The food is of exceptional quality, good portions and was still hot on arrival to the table. This is by far one of the best out-of-town restaurants in the area. It's advisable to book to minimise your wait for a table. Well done to all that work here, I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended.

Having not dined out for some time (pre COVID) for various reasons it was a great surprise to be able to lunch out with the wife, daughter and great grandson. We ordered different size meals. This is primarily a Streak house but has a few children's choices on the menu. I only went for a Steak burger, my wife,a Chicken burger, daughter a glazed chicken,son in law a Steak and a small chicken dinner for the great grandson. I must say that I have never had a burger like this before, with a chopped up steak at the bottom, pulled beef, cheese and tomato plus an onion mountain on top. Served with a side of fries and beef dripping sauce. Likewise my wife's burger was chicken breast with maple sauce bacon and garnish. Served with a sauce and fries. The Steaks were cooked exactly as asked. The service was outstanding, my wife is not very mobile and they went out of their way to find suitable seating for us all, including a high chair for our great grandson. We took a while to decide what we wanted but we were always met with a smile and reassuring waitress who seemed happy to wait. The food tasted as good as it looked. The prices were higher than I remembered, but my daughter who eats out regularly thought they were fine. Now for logistics, 2 sets of toilets with disabled facilities, excellent standards. Plenty of standard parking, with 4/5 disabled spaces near the entrance. Probably best to book at the normal busy periods(can book online, type in the name to get their website) we went for a late lunch so not so busy. Food served all day. If I feel like a treat I will definitely go there again. Happy eating.
We have had THE BEST STEAK in our lives. The side dishes complemented the steak, which was the star of the show. The service given by our waiter Aaron was first class and his attention to customer service was outstanding. We will definitely come back
Had food here again today. Food was on point fairplay. We ordered from the Sunday set menu where I had the sticky chicken for starters. Had 50 day aged rib eye with chunky chips for mains with blue cheese and stilton lettuce wedge, beef dripping sauce. My partner had the same. We had mac n cheese side too. Was topped with lobster tail. Only thing I can say that wasn't on point was the chips weren't hot. Love lobster Tail will definitely be having that again. The crem brulee was one of the best ive had. Service was great staff were friendly
We had an amazing evening for my husbands birthday. Food was incredible and Leanne the server went above and beyond for us. She deserves a raise 👏. We will definitely be returning.
The service made my evening. Sophie was very attentive and friendly server. She really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dinning experience.
It would be nice if there were more seating in the bar while we were waiting, but this wasn’t a big deal.
All round we really enjoyed the experience. Have already recommended Thornhill to our friends.

Tonight we visited Thornhill and from the moment we arrived the service was fantastic.
The waitress Elle was so fantastic, her friendliness and manners were second to none, constantly checking if everything was OK with our meal and if there was anything she could get us. Nothing was to much for her.

Had a lovely afternoon at Miller & Carter, Thornhill. Celebrating my Birthday. Tracy was our server and we were looked after so well. Tracy had a lovely Manner, kept us smiling the whole time. We didn’t have to wait for drinks and all our courses were perfectly timed .. Our grill Chef was Alex and the steaks were all perfect as were our starters, accompaniments & desserts (from the,lunch time set menu)
Would like to say thank you to you all and special thanks to the birthday board artist and the wonderful singers that sang Happy Birthday.
Excellent branch of miller and carter. Much better than the one in the centre of Cardiff. Staff very polite, excellent service. Steak is amazing, not sure what the half of an iceberg lettuce is about though. Definitely recommend the beef dripping gravy.
