Great traditional bakery. They have walesh cakes with different flavours! And also have diabetic and vegan options. You have to queue for a while, but it is worth it. Note: You only can pay with a credit card for purchases above £4.

Being my first visit to Wales, my friends decided to introduce me to the infamous Welsh Cakes. The Bakestones counter is extremely popular with both locals and tourists, so there was quite a lengthy queue. But it seemed to move pretty quickly, and it wasn’t long before I had my mitts on one of their freshly made (and deliciously warm) Welsh Cakes. I had the traditional fruit cake - which was super yummy and definitely worth queuing for! Lots of different flavours available, as well as vegan options too.

Welsh cakes! As a tourist this is an obligated visit when in Cardiff. Located in the Cardiff market, this bakery offers different varieties of pastries including a vast amount of welsh cakes with different flavors! The best part is the Welsh cakes are actually elaborated in front of you! I tried Welsh cakes with jam, white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, salted caramel, and coconut. It was a pleasure to try fresh welsh cakes made right in front of you!
