We visited three Pettigrew locations during our stay in Cardiff!
Stuff we tried:
1..Creme brulee croissant (10 out of 10): creme diplomat is divine, crunchy exterior tops it off...visited two days in a row for this!
2. Plum Danish (10/10): really top notch laminated dough, jam filled center, and generous cream with lovely slices of plum on top. On par with the creme brulee croissant as my favorite
3. Cheese Mustard Crown (7/10): very good, savory deliciousness, with tear apart cheesy goodness
4. Sausage Roll (6/10): decent sausage roll, but nothing to shout about
5. Semolina sourdough: review is TBD!
Customer Service: we dropped one of our coffees on the floor while fumbling with our bag of pastries. The barista was kind enough to brew another Americano for us, and quickly mopped the floor while we apologized profusely. I really appreciate their gesture and reassurance that it was ok and that things like this happen 🙏🏻🥺
Seating: There is no seating inside at the Victoria Park location, but there are picnic tables outside.
Nice spot with great selection of bread and pastries. There are also patisserie and desserts if in celebration mood
Friendly staff, wonderful bakes, a diverse variety of savoury and sweet with many vegan options! Definitely recommend to go!! You can even have a stroll through the park after, as it is right next to it :)) it does get quite busy on weekends so you may have to wait in line but the wait is worth it!
