So glad these guys are doing gluten free again!! Was so upset when the other location shut down because there is barely anywhere I can safely eat so this has made my year! I had the fish, chips and salad and the owner did the fish in gf breadcrumbs instead of just flour which was easily the best fish I’ve ever had. Can’t remember the last time I’ve been able to have fish with an actual crumb around it rather than just grilled. Love love love love �� everyone must go..now!
We celebrated a family birthday at this place, and I'll admit, the initial impression when we walked in was somewhat underwhelming, but then again, it's an RSL, so I wasn't expecting too much.
The menu didn't do much to raise our expectations either; it was on the smaller side with rather basic options.
Despite my low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised when the food arrived. My brother and I decided to share a Meat platter for 2, while my sister-in-law and partner ordered burgers. The meat platter was fantastic, and the burgers looked great. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a solid meal.
We came here for dinner midweek. The service and food were excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The venue was clean and tidy. I highly recommend the onion rings. They were generously sized and perfectly cooked. Much better than your typical soggy bistro rings. I also got the southern chicken burger and chicken parmigiana which were also fantastic.
The kids dessert which is included in their meals was a proper bowl of ice cream with choice of toppings which they loved.
In summary, great food, quick service and friendly staff. I'll be back for more.
Great tasting food at a reasonable price. Partner and I got the platter for 1 to share. Was very impressed how much food there was for $36 or $38. Tasted nice. We went into thinking if we were still hungry we could order more or a dessert but didn’t need to as we still had enough leftovers to make a brisket roll for lunch the next day with the leftovers. Will definitely be back
Great food and amazing staff! 100% recommend for coeliacs - majority of menu items are gluten free and very conscious of allergies. Tastes amazing.
It can be really hard eating out as a coeliac; last night I had the best (and biggest) burger I have had in years and I even was able to have chips. The staff were friendly and took time to answer my questions even though they were obviously really busy. My non coeliac friends also were very happy with their meals, we will definitely go back.
What can I say expect WOW. Bluey's has just re opened after new renovations and not just to the restaurant but to the menu too. And I can tell you I was hesitant at first to try the pizza and thought 'eh it's just pizza'. But I was wrong, the pizza is out of this world, let's talk about the sauce, it wasn't heavy, thick or spicy it was light, sweet and oh so delicious not to mention mouth watering, I've never tasted pizza so deliciously spectacular in my life. Don't believe me, try it yourself. The food is delicious the staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming, great customer service.
10/10 will be back to try the other new items on the menu.
Been here before, excellent food, I had strip loin steak, perfect, sweet potato fries as a side, yum.
My latest visit, although very busy, chef accommodated us and cooked us a beautiful feed. Delicious.

Easily one of the best value for money American smokehouse feeds in the newcastle area. My mates and I aren't scared of a big feed and have always hunted out the best in Newcastle and can easily say the quality and menu at Blueys is a cut abive the rest. Can easily customise and add or change your request and I can safely say I've never walked out dissapointed.
Can get super busy and at times waits do increase the later and busier it is but well worth it.

Beautiful meal and gluten free. Owner is very conscious of cross contamination. Tasty and wide variety of meals. Worth a visit.
