Miserable, wet weather, sat here with a box of chips, this place is spotlessly clean, the chicken & chips I opted for is a solid 8/10. More pleasant are the staff that work here, you can see the pride they take in their jobs, all too often we see “heel draggers” in the hot food industry, these guys are light on their feet, polite, courteous and attentive. The only reason why I’ve come here to write a review is purely that it is actually refreshing to see people at work who ooze pride & confidence in their industry! Keep up the good work! “You always taste the service before you taste the food” Quietly sat here enjoying my meal, watching you guys work, highly impressed with your efficiency, attitude and work ethic. The food is sometimes amazing but they're very inconsistent. I've had many different versions of what you would call a fried chicken breast, although to be fair the last few have been great. The cod used to be awesome but the last few have been undercooked with very soggy batter. Consistency is usually the one thing you always get from a chippy, so it's odd but they do seem to have a large turnover of staff so perhaps that's why. I will say though, when they get it right, there's no better chippy around

All fish and chip shops these days seem to be 'award winning', Fintans is certainly popular and always seems to be busy. It's clean and well kept, with a nice range of options including battered Mars bars, battered cauliflower, pineapple fritters... I like the quality of the code and the chips, compares well with other shops locally.
