Loved this place. We Had an amazing Baker's breakfast (full English one and Veg one). Enjoyed every single mouthful! I think that on its own says enough. They care about their food and make their own lemonades and great coffee. They bake their own bread and pastries. Atmosphere is friendly and cozy. It is a small place but they have a nice garden on the back. Highly recommend it!

Bank holiday brunch at, but of course, The Early Bird. The Early Bird has been at the top of my list for some time now, and it was worth the wait!! ✨ There is nothing sweeter than walking in the Welsh sunshine to grab some brunch. ☀️ Such a treat!! We tucked into the hearty Cowboy Beans (with an extra sausage on the side - of course), the gorgeous Hazelnut Stack (fluffiest brioche bread I’ve ever had) and their gorgeous Cinnamon Rolls (which I stole swipes of that heavily frosting every time he looked away!!) Fantastic menu, crammed with inventive and filling dishes, served on the most beautiful plates around. Wonderful staff and a counter of cakes and doughnuts which will tempt even the fullest post-brunch bellies! The Early Bird doesn’t take bookings as it is walk-ins only. You will not be disappointed!!

Love this place. One of my favourite cafes in Cardiff. The staff is super sweet and their collection of coffees and cakes is awesome. The prices are great too for the service and ambience. The kind of place where I want to chill all day! Also a great place if you're just looking for a quiet spot to work out of.

Great local cafe for breakfast and brunch. Food was great and there are plenty of options, coffee was fine and staff were really friendly. There is extra covered seating out the back and they are dog friendly.

Lovely little hidden gem of a cafe. A friend and had planned to go pre-pandemic but never get chance before shutdown. We ended up waiting 8 months to go, but we finally did and we're very glad about it! Sat outside in the back, quite warm out there due to the cover, feels like a bit of a suntrap. Everything socially distanced as you'd expect. Online ordering via your phone with a table number. I opted for a sweet breakfast, strawberries and cream brioche French toast which was amazing. Definitely for someone with a sweet tooth. Also had a hot chocolate which was nice. My friend had something cooked which she said was lovely. Would definitely like to go back again to plough through the menu, loads of options for veggie / vegans too. Each item just seems have a little twist to it, to make it better than your standard breakfast. Baked goods supplied by their sister company, Friends in Knead. Would recommend.

Brilliant bakery/cafe. A little cramped towards the front of the shop but they're doing their best with what they've got. Whoever does the menu at this place has really thought about the flavours and textures--brunch menu is superb for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Baked goods are divine--it was hard not to get one of each to takeaway after the meal. Tried the chocolate doughnuts, cinnamon swirls and strawberry doughnuts--all were delicious. Flowers in the lemonade felt a bit OTT for me but it did look pretty I guess. Service was great--went there on Sunday 12th for brunch and everyone shift was super friendly and efficient despite it being so busy.

Not had the chance to tuck into the brunch menu but if they’re half as good as the bakery takeouts (which I’m confident they are!) then they’ll be amazing. Cinnamon rolls are the best around - and coffee is spot on. Also grabbed a doughnut and a loaf of sourdough because they looked great - and tasted even better. Can’t wait to come back!

A little Gem in rows of terraced houses….I would have never found it, we’re it not for our local guide. Pancake Stack on bacon was quite nice…..🤣Totally destroyed, this is the before shot!! Dog 🐶 friendly too!!

Small place with great food. A nice place for brunch. Get there earlier if you can, it can get quite busy. Indoor and outdoor tables.
