There are a lot of good things about this place, including the friendly staff and good food choices. I had all vagan food and it was great especially the mushroom starter! That deserves more than 5 stars. We thought the alcohol was pretty over priced £6.5 for a small bottle, the time allocated for the seating was also a little short, we felt we had to rush a little at the end when we still had some drinks left. Apart from that the food lives up to the great reputation!

Delicious shoyu ramen. The chicken breasts in my bowl were especially tender and juicy. Nice clear soup. We found the noodle in the tantanmen on the tougher side, this is very noticable since the noodle used in that bowl is a bit ticker. Chicken karaage is something you wouldn't want to miss, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Overall would recommend this place for a nice meal

We booked in advance two weeks before and easily found a reservation. It’s pretty busy so walk up probably isn’t an option. We had a delicious meal! The food was incredibly tasty and cooked fresh in an open kitchen. The karaage chicken in particular was super tasty. They have good options for veggie/vegan folks too which was great. They always have specials on the board so make sure to check them out. I liked the variety of drinks as they have a wide selection of beers, cocktails and soft drinks so there’s something for everyone. Parking can be a bit of an issue but other than that it’s a great restaurant and we will be back!

Incredible food. The effort and care that is out into the broth is demonstrated by the rich flavour and milky texture of it. The noodles are firm and the accompaniments perfectly cooked. The sides - I had mushroom karaage which was mouth watering and eye opening - all contribute brilliantly to the meal. The curry mayo needs to be bottled. The drinks offerings are sympathetically curated. The melon and lime highball is an absolute star. The restaurant itself is light and spacious despite it being justifiably busy. The service was exceptionally friendly and discreetly present at all times. I can't praise this place enough

First visit to the restaurant after many pop up visits (and at-home boxes during lockdown) Ramen was good but definitely not the best we've had from them, the soupless dish was nice, especially after adding lots of chilli oil and seasoning. Favourite dish for me was the pickled Shitake mushrooms, could have eaten them all day long, wasn't a fan of the mushroom karaage though (the curried mayo was amazing though) Cocktails were nice and refreshing. Booked in advanced, wasn't a fan of the extra small table in the corner (in a near empty restaurant), was really difficult to eat at, also there was no air movement in that part of the room so found the heat fairly unbearable.

Good atmosphere and friendly service, just make sure to make a reservation as it’s very popular and for good reason as the food was delicious. The vegan options are good as well very yummy!

The vibe was so cute and positive, and the servers were super friendly and truly made us feel at home. We booked a table and let them know we're halal, and they had a whole halal menu with so many options! The food was flavourful and delicious and we absolutely fell in love with the strawberries and cream mochi dessert. We're definitely going back to try more off the menu!

A really nice, authentic Japanese restaurant situated not far from Cardiff city centre. I got the Tantanmen ramen, the karaage chicken and the yuzu sake. Both the ramen and chicken were incredible, the portions were just the right size, and the sake was fantastic with a nice citrus kick. The service was great too, very prompt and friendly. Very impressed, will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend this ramen! 🍜🤎 Open by British people but it is amazing and just nearly the same as normal Ramen!! Environment is very good and it is bigger than I expected, looks bright and clean, not fancy but simply beautiful. I tried the miso spicy ramen 🍜 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Not very spicy at all, recommend to try if you like spicy 🌶️💓 Pork Belly Ramen 🍜 🌟🌟🌟 I like the texture of pork belly, very soft and juicy! I like it very much and I ordered two extra pieces of pork belly 🤪 Karaage chicken 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Crispy outside and juicy inside 😎 not a very big portion but it’s good enough for two people to share.
