The Groaker

It's fantastic to have places to dine out with in Rhiwbina. Attractive venue and good atmosphere. The tapas menu sounded lovely and we could have chosen all of it. We felt the food lacked a bit of depth of flavour, croquettas were very small and bland, the tortilla looked as if it had been dropped, patata bravas and sausage were lovely.

Phenomenal Sunday roast today. They have the approach of sharing platters, which come laden with your choice of meat or veg offering and gravy with Yorkshire puddings, then share all the veg. Everything was cooked to perfection. Garlic butter cabbage was delicious and the manchego cauliflower cheese was another level. Not a single burnt yorkie in sight. All the puddings we tried were fantastic. Such rich flavours, and the sugar crisp on the creme Catalan was delicious and citrussy. All the staff were welcoming, and the whole place is done up really nicely. The only thing missing would be a fold up baby changing in the bathroom, surely one can fit. Otherwise, a brilliant addition to Cardiff's food scene.
