I’ve loved visiting Hotel Chocolat cafes for years, and particularly this one. The staff have always been so friendly, but they do come and go. This time I was served by Ffion (sorry if spelling is wrong!), who was genuinely so kind and not to mention patient; I forgot to ask for dairy-free milk, and hadn’t realised she already started making the drink when I flagged it. I felt so bad. However, she straight away told me not to worry and that she can make it again. It wasn’t even that she remade the drink for me, but the way she tried her best to make sure I didn’t feel bad. She was incredibly polite and kept a nice smile whilst serving not just me, but others. Thank you for being so kind, it’s massively appreciated. It’s important to me to have staff who really care — as opposed to customers just being numbers (or names written on a cup) as feeling valued and respected keeps us coming back — and that’s before you tuck into the hot drinks here, which is for sure unrivalled by other chain’s hot chocolates!

Hands down one of the Hot Chocolates in Cardiff city. This chain provides a variety of hot chocolate options. We’ve tried Mint, Dark Chocolate, Dark Chocolate + Mint and normal. All of them are amazing. There’s enough tables to dine in, and the outlet has an amazing vibe too. The menu is huge with a lot of other drink options too, and there store has a huge collection of chocolates and confectioneries too.

Verdict: Easily among the best for hot chocolates
Travelled to this establishment to get a specific item the staff weren't over forthcoming to assist basically left to your own devices..However your chocolates are well worth the visit as we actually live a long way from any of your shops
I've visited the store in Cardiff on July 2nd and I gotta say, their chocolat is absolutely brilliant.
And the staff work there are very kind and helpful.
If I ever go to Cardiff again, I will visit the store again.
Great size store with so many options. Cafe was clean and nice. Hot chocolate was delicious
Chocolate cream on the top is what I go for. Membership saves 15%. Personally I like 100% dark chocolate. Friends enjoy 85%. Either way the cream is wonderful.
Tasty ice cream and choclate , if muslim be careful some types have alcohol

Weirdly enough I don’t buy the chocolate here I just love the ice cream and hot chocolate drinks that they offer. The 20% off on their loyalty card makes it more affordable.
