Lovely food and service. Lots of enticing choices in the festive menu, rather than the standard 'roast' style dishes. We went on a busy Friday night in December, so wait times between courses were long. But they were very apologetic and even took starters off the bill as they kitchen had initially forgotten about it. Will definitely be back to try their standard a la carte. Great to see that north Cardiff suburbs has finally got a good dining experience like this.

Superb food - couldn't decide what to have from an enticing menu! Will have to repeat visit to try other dishes. We chose starters from the specials - a watermelon, spinach and haloumi salad and a rabbit terrine. Fish for mains - sea bass with confit fennel and crab arancini, halibut fillet with salmon gravadlax sauce and saffron potatoes. Desserts were a magnificent apple tarte taking and a white chocolate and cardamom mousse. I would have like a little more of a cardamom hit to counteract the white chocolate but nice nonetheless.. The restaurant had a real buzz and it seemed like many were regular diners. A real gem in the Whitchurch suburb of Cardiff.

Tried this place for the first time last night - in a different league to the other eateries in Whitchurch. Smart, spotlessly clean surroundings and highly attentive service from the word go - I was impressed before I'd even ordered anything. Then excellent quality cold crisp wine served in a sparklingly clean glass, delicious deep-flavoured fish soup served with the best croutons I've ever tasted, and stunning aubergine parmigiana served with perfectly cooked asparagus and new potatoes. What a treat! I'll be back again, and skip the starter so I'll have room for dessert and coffee 😊

What a wonderful meal. Sopra 73 brings French bistro style food to the heart of Whitchurch, walking distance from my home. It was a delight to enjoy the range of delicious flavours from the Mediterranean Fish Soup with which I started through the amazing loin of lamb I had for my mains, with a delightful cheeseboard to finish. My other half had King Prawns to start with a zingy garlic and chilli sauce. He followed this with a lovely pink Duck Breast resting on a bed of pancetta, cabbage and carrot and a tasty fondant potato. He finished his meal with a traditional Crème Brulee which was as tasty as any he had tasted in the past. A great addition to the Whitchurch eating scene - we will be back.
