Great food, ambience and service. Also good kids menu and dog friendly. I've seen it drastically improve in the 12 years I've lived in the village. Well worth a visit and great pub too.
Had a lovely meal I've worked in a french kitchen for several years and in alot of other places too as a head chef. So I'm not hard to please but the food here was great seasoned well cooked well and quickly prepared, only one small critical point the children's menu was too bland for my kids , but
First of all, yes it is smaller rooms, but they're extremely nice. Besides you're not there but just to sleep and clean up.... beautiful new bathroom with nice tile and shower. A beautiful old church that was bombed during WWII was yards 3 min. walk. Cardross golf course directly across the street.
We sat in the pub, had dinner here, stayed the night in the hotel and we had breakfast the next morning; we were happy about it all.
Restaurant: Very nice ambiance, kind staff and nice food.
Pub: Cosy, nice beers and cocktails. The cocktails however were quite expensive.

The location is good, easy to find on the main road in the village.
Fantastic food, comfortable rooms and the staff are so caring and supportive if you have any issues! Will definitely be coming back when I'm next in Scotland

This is my village pub. I come here maybe once or twice a week. The people who work here and the people who drink here are super, and the sport is always on, and the place is generally comfortable and pleasant to be in.
