Costa Coffee

I just want to say a big thank you to the lady that served me today. She served me on the till, then made my fancy new whipped up iced latte, heated and served my toastie and got me my cake- all whilst other staff members were incredibly busy too. I don't think people realise until you work in a busy chain such as Costa (I worked here for 2 years in a different store) just how many things you have to do. It can feel like you're an octopus! And then people have the gall to complain about wait times etc. You're all smashing it in there and I'm sure you don't get praised anywhere near enough!

Having only been a couple of times (while the missus is shopping in Primark) I will give you my experience based off my most recent visit… We entered at around 4:30pm on a Saturday and we were served right away, the staff were all friendly and smiley which is always a bonus! The place itself was cosy and calming, there wasn’t an overpowering smell of coffee which I was happy about, the only thing that lets the place down is the lack of indoor seating, granted they can only work with the space that they have and it would be awful if everyone was crammed in and sat on top of each other. My partner and I had the peach iced tea which was nice and refreshing, I ended up having a second one by the time my partner had got back from shopping - I was told that there was a strawberry iced tea but they didn’t have the ingredients for it, frustrating as I definitely would’ve tried that! Location is very handy for a break whilst shopping and there’s a good selection of sweet treats to have a snack and a good drink. Just be prepared that you may have to sit outside!

I love love love Costa's! Personal favourite is the caramel latte! I've got a points card too which comes in handy for a free coffee now and then! Staff are always friendly. Also they do special winter drinks in the cutest christmassy takeaway cups! Always tasty drinks! Love to sit outside as well having a good old chit chat with friends or family either in the sunshine or in the winter wrapped up!
