Very classy tea shop. Sat with my tea and food overlooking the vineyards and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. Very friendly and efficient staff, a great place to relax and take in the peace and quiet.
We provided the DJ, Sax, Percussion & Vocals package here for Jade & Benjamin's wedding. Absolutely breathtaking venue! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was fantastic and the venue was brilliant for accommodating for live music and a party atmosphere. If you're on the look out for a wedding venue, look no further! We look forward to working with you again.
We got married here in January 23 and it was incredible. It was actually the first venue we looked at and we walked out of our tour just knowing it was the one. After visiting several venues we came back and booked Carlton Towers. From start to finish they could not have been more helpful with organising the wedding. I emailed so many times with questions and changes and was never made to feel like I was annoying. The food was perfection and the portions were perfect - no one was hungry! The day itself ran so smoothly, all the guests were well looked after, the venue was just perfection. The staff genuinely shared our enthusiasm for our wedding and the atmosphere was fantastic from start to finish. These people genuinely want you to have the best day of your life and will do everything they can to make that happen. I don’t have a single bad thing to say. Thank you so much Carlton Towers for giving us the best wedding I could have ever imagined. Xx
What an amazing venue for a wedding. Everthing perfect from start to finish. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Rooms were fantastic. The only downside was the number of stairs which meant it wasn't disability friendly. Truly felt like a magical few days
Carlton Towers in the civil parish of Carlton, 5 miles south-east of Selby, North Yorkshire is a very large grade 1 listed country house in the Victorian Gothic-revival style, surrounded by a 250 acre park. In February 2023 we enjoyed a fabulous State Room experience with one night in a beautiful state room preceded by a superb 3 course dinner presented exquisitely and served exceptionally by well trained professional staff. Highly recommend and not to be missed.
Hubby and I attended the annual SNAPPY TRUST Charity Ball and I must say the building creates a stunning first impression! The staircase to the entrance has wide shallow steps and is very grand!
The building has superb character with lots of period features and is just the kind of place we love to look around so very happy to spend a few hours!
The room for the Ball was laid out beautifully and with easy access to a long corridor beside it so that anyone, from any point in the room, could easily slip to the loo without disturbing proceedings!
Food was delicious and service was very efficient with plenty of friendly servers :)
Fantastic location for a wedding. We went for a Friday and Saturday for a wedding weekend, and they literally could not do enough for you with the service. The location is stunning....historic yet welcoming, and very private and quiet. If you stay overnight, the rooms are all bespoke and fantastic in their own way. The food was amazing as well and great professional service. If you are looking for a great wedding venue or a unique weekend away, I would highly recommend this place!
Family went to Stables tearoom for booked afternoon tea to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We were sat in a cosy separate room ( which we did not expect) and had a lovely meal. Beautiful sandwiches, scones and a great range of cakes. One of our party has food allergies and everything was done to provide them with an excellent choice of safe food, which is not always the case. Would recommend strongly.
