Priory Plaice

Lovely Fish & Chips 19th November 2018 This fish & chip shop has been closed and up for sale for a while it has now reopened, it is situated in Priory Street so not in the town centre and parking is available nearby. The shop has 2 tables to eat in and is in need of a facelift but very clean, the 2 cod & chips I purchased were top notch nicely browned real chips and the cod was coated in lovely crisp light batter. The staff were very friendly and it was nice to see the the fish being checked with a temperature probe. We will be calling again

Rarely have a take away, but called here as I was passing one day and ordered a pensioners portion of fish and chips, which is good for smaller appetites, but WHAT a portion. Freshly cooked fish [not small] and freshly cooked chips and an added bonus of mushy peas. And all for under £4. Nicely presented in a cardboard [insulated] box which kept the food hot until I got home and the food was delicious. Yes you have to wait for your food to be cooked but it's worth it. Most importantly the staff and place looked clean. Well done 5* ++ yes.
