Been before, I only ordered drinks, lipstick still on a glass, and coffee wasn't very hot, great service though, and would go again, I think it was just one of those things. So I think a 4 star rating is fair

I had scampi and chips and the hubby had 3 large fish fingers chips and beans. The food was hot, presented nice and tasted good, the staff was friendly and they also welcome dogs if your a dog owner. Right on the canal where you can feed the ducks afterwards.

Lovely little pub. The view next to the canal is a big attraction. Food is a good standard, nothing mind-blowing and quick and easy. Food prices are good. Excellent for a chilled stop off for lunch or some hearty food.

This pub is situated in a stunning canal side setting. There is a car park and ample outside seating for a sunny afternoon. It has recently changed management and it is evident they are making a go of it and I wish them every success. The food - I had scampi fries and side salad, classic pub grub.and a good size portion. The side salad was iceberg lettuce 1 cherry tomato and a couple of slices of pepper. I would have rather some mixed salad leaves. My partner had canal club ciabatta which was like a spicy chicken mayo with bacon and tomato. He assures me it tasted better than it looked. (Vomit on a bun) ha The fries were nice but some would say overdone. They were dark golden and crispy I personally liked them. My only slight niggles were the choice of coffee advertised wasn't on offer and we had filter which was cold and was warmed in the microwave. My other no no was the table was sticky :/ and at one point over the coffee we nearly cancelled our order but continued in support of the small local business. It sounds as if I didn't enjoy it. I did ,.it was basic and because I'm not posh by any stretch I overlooked the niggles as I want this local pub to survive. The venue itself is beautiful and it has only been open a few weeks and I'm sure they will thrive and will be able to reinvest some profits on improving the menu. If you are looking for beautiful food near Carnforth then the Longlands is the place to go. The goats cheese and walnut salad was divine.

Really friendly pub, good value with nice staff. We arrived drenched and there first priority was helping us find somewhere to dry our coats. We’ll be back again

Cosy, simple little pub. Food selection a little small, would have liked some more smaller lunch options but the food was tasty. Dog friendly and nice views onto the canal.
