Incredible food and drinks after a tough day exploring the nearby attractions. All members of our travelling group commended the high-quality food served. The owner is present and involved, putting a personal touch on the experience. I did not stay in the rooms and cannot comment on that, but to avoid Google awarding the WH zero stars, I will give them a five, in line with the dining experience.

Lovely pub where you don't need reservations (unlike the other two pubs in castle combe). Great service, great beer and cider, and lovely hosts!

We went to this pub for dinner, friendly and smiling barman, wide selection of food offered, pulled pork bbq, lasagne and haddock was delicious, I will go back there 100 percent, moderate prices, dishes beautifully presented and very large☺ I recommend it with a clear conscience!! I don't understand so many dissatisfied customers because it's a friendly place. LOVE 😋

Best choice for food in the Cotswolds! Might not be the most “glamorous” but by far the most genuine with amazing food and very friendly staff- also the most attentive and capable f&b team we encountered in the Cotswolds! A real “live as a local” experience, highly recommended!

Nice pub in the lovely village of Castle Combe. Great location at the top of the village. No parking but best to park in the car park at the top anc walk down anyway.Good variety of food and a specials board. Various jacket potatoes etc. Garden at the back also. Wasn't too crowded and the wait for food was not long. Only issue is the service! Not done with a smile and although there were very many tourists from abroad there was little help or understanding with language for them. Castle Combe attracts many tourists from abroad, we counted 8 different languages so might be a good idea to have more helpful signs for them, maybe good for business as well.

Castle Combe is a beautiful, picturesque, peaceful location, ideal to finish with a drink. Sadly at 8.30 in the evening they wouldn't serve a cup of tea, which was a shame.

Going there often when visiting Castle Combe. Really nice and cosy. Gives you a taste of relaxing in one of the little houses there. Never has their food but it has a fantastic look. Nice range of drinks. Would better take extra care of the cleanliness since the place is very old. Also would prefer to have hot drinks as in a usually cooler countryside.

I read a lot of the terrible 1-star reviews for this place. And was initially inclined to believe them as the proprietor mumbled a sarcastic "great" as I walked in with my family. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that it was concern over my three young children and not because we're a mixed race lot. The proprietor was a little short when I was ordering. However that seemed to be borne more of haste than annoyance--It was starting to get busy in the place. Ok. Our food came out quickly, was beautifully presented and delicious. It is a Wadworth tied house, so I got a couple of pints of cask ale to go with my lunch. Both were fabulous. We sat outside in the garden seating area. It was peaceful and lovely. There were a number of bees present (I'm sure due to the beautiful flowers along the perimeter) but steps were taken to mitigate the bees. Overall, I am very happy to have visited The White Hart. Get the three cheese ploughman's lunch and a pint of 6X for a pleasant cheese and beer pairing.

Visited the little 'hamlet' of Castle Combe as part of a 'Day out in the Cotswolds'. I thought I'd try The White Hart, to see how it compared to the only other pub in the village. The pub is very cosy, due to its 'compact' proportions, with a cute rear garden/patio area. With a small but nice typical lunch menu, posted outside next to the entrance, I looked inside and found the 'specials' menu, which consisted of a rather nice mix of fish and white and red meat dishes, that were typical of a modern-yet-old-fashioned country pub. I went for the lasagne, which came with a nice 'country' salad with a vinaigrette, and small garlic bread. It was scrummy 👌👏!!! I'll definitely have lunch at the this pub, whenever I am next in the Cotswolds👍!!!
