Mad Hatters - Castle Douglas - Photo album

We visited Castle Douglas today and happened upon Mad Hatter in the main street. The food here is lovely, we enjoyed two jacket potatoes, one with haggis the other with curried chicken. Fresh, tasty and enjoyable. I also noticed the cafe was very, very clean. If you visit a lot of places after the p
Nice place, we got in just before they got completely full. Very popular. Food was good traditional food but wish I'd seen the specials board before I ordered as there were some real bargains ๐Ÿ˜ Very dog friendly which is OK if you like dogs ๐Ÿ˜‰ Toilets were spotless๐Ÿ‘
Great place it says dogs welcome. And they are welcome, other businesses should take note. our dog had a doggy ice cream whish they loved. The food I ordered was too much for me, and the same for my good Lady. She had a Toastie and it was so thick with filling she was laughing and saying well worth
Really great breakfast, kinda old school but made a nice change. Dogs welcome which was great! Staff were all very friendly.
Fabulous food, the burger with the haggis was amazing!! Super friendly staff, really welcoming to us and our dog. Wish we lived nearer!
What a gem of a place. We stumbled across this cafe and we are glad we did. Fantastic service, and lovely home cooked food
Lovely little cafe in Castle Douglas just popped in for a snack staff were very friendly and the toasted teacake was delicious my friend had the soup which was also good prices for the food are very good and looking round at other people eating the food looked really nice
Great spot for a fry-up. Lots of friendly CD locals to chat with.
Perfect place for breakfast ๐Ÿณ very dog friendly, particularly if you have a Cocker Spaniel, Service was great and quick
Great dog friendly cafe in the centre of Castle Douglas. Lovely staff, great food and very reasonably priced. The dogs got a cheeky biscuit or two as well
A local cafe with a friendly atmosphere and good standard food. Decent sized portions and the coffee (I enjoyed a latte) was lovely also. Although a nice experience overall, it was quite chilly indoors and felt a little damp in the cafe area; better heating would improve the experience drastically.
Great food, visited at a busy time so was sat at the rear at a small table. That was the only down side to the visit.
Delicious soup and tray bakes. Quick service. Always like to come in here when we come up on holiday. Very dog friendly too. Not that we have a dog, but lots came in and the staff love them and give them bowls of water.
I'm so pleased to see the increase of so much vegan food in Castle Douglas. This place does a really good vegan breakfast & vegan brunch. Both are big portions that are hard to finish. The staff are lovely and we are pleased they allow dogs. This place is always busy but the wait is worthwhile
We so enjoyed the vegan brunch today. Big portions are hard to finish, lovely teas. The staff are very friendly & helpful plus the place is dog friendly. We would love to see some vegan desserts & ice cream
Food was great and well priced. I actually walked out without paying due to a mix up with my wife but the staff were kind in reminding me and not treating my mistake as something more. We always go in here on our way home from the caravan so will need to book the caravan away more often :) thanks fo
