Called here for a spot of lunch with family. It has recently been refurbished. The flooring, decor and seating all very nice. We all chose something different from the menu. However with it being lunchtime we did actually fancy a sandwich/wrap/panini/jacket potato etc.. but unfortunately these didn’t seem to be on the new menu so had to have more of a dinner. But all in all nice food and staff friendly. Will eat here again 🍴

Lovely family place with genuinely nice staff.Lots of drink choices and served really quickly. Only criticism is like every place vegetarian doesn't mean bland and you shouldn't smother it in some over powering sauce that makes it inedible.On the plus side my food was quickly changed and this time minus the salsa sauce it was lovely.Lots going on in this pub each night and the prices are very reasonable. Parking free, but make sure you sign in on the machine at the entrance. also very wheelchair friendly .

Really pleasant atmosphere. We sat on the outside patio with the dogs - food was absolutely delicious. Really great service from Emma (thank you!). Definitely will return soon and anyone reading this should too. You'll love it.

Really enjoyed our visit here. The staff are really friendly, chatty and go above and beyond. The atmosphere and food was also very good! The jamcian stew was divine! And kids meals are larger portions. Will be returning

Haven't been in years but wanted somewhere local for a birthday gathering. Actually hugely surprised but how good it was, staff were lovely, food was super fast despite being a large party and ordering seperately. Very cheap but all the food was pretty good. As a local or similar it's a good place to go. Dog friendly as well is a huge bonus. Thanks to the team for making an easy celebration!

Newly refurbished and done to an excellent standard. Service was great and food was decent, fully set up for Sky Sports and BT Sport, probably the best place to go in Castleford to watch the football! 10/10 will return!

We recently booked a table here for my son's 18th birthday, we were a party of 9 people. As always the food was lovely, the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We will definitely continue to visit this lovely pub and restaurant. Thank you!

This pub has had a refurb and looks much better. The staff there are friendly and they have the convenience of being able to order food and drink through their app. The food is not great but it's cheap, so you get what you pay for really, so can't really complain about it. They have ample parking but you do need to register your car number plate as you walk in to avoid a fine.

Both really enjoyed our mixed grills, both of which were cooked well and served quickly at 1230pm on a Thursday. Ordering by the app at our table was flawlessly executed by the staff serving the ordered drinks within minutes. Pub refurbishment is nice with clean toilets and ample indoor or outdoor seating. Parking is free, but please input your registration in the terminal at the main entrance to avoid any unexpected fines through your door due to new parking restrictions. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Tbh, I've eaten here occasionally over the last 8 years and found this experience to be the best one.
