Absolutely excellent wee museum with a variety of historical areas covered. It contains a mini art gallery dedicated to a local artist. A section for the Fire Service and it's history with some really interesting old pumps used to extinguish the fires. There is also a section to the old weigh house and its dungeon. The annexe separate from theuseum has a mock up classroom which is great for the kids as well as a dressing up area.

Front of house car parking and a tea room make for a relaxing stopover at this small rural life museum.. Run by friendly volunteers the cottage interior, school, blacksmith and weigh house exhibits give a glimpse of rural life in the 1600s. The toll charges exhibited are from one of the many toll gates which controlled access to the nearby market town of Cupar. The small holding cell and the chains set into the outside wall for the benefit of minor offenders seem strangely appropriate.

Just popped in for a latte to go. Very nice coffee with a selection of cakes on show. Lots of the usual cafe food available filled rolls etc. Indoor seating if the weather is bad and outdoor seating by the riverside if it's good. There is a Folk Museum here too, which gives a great insite into the lives of Fife people from the past. The servers were polite, prompt, and well presented. The carpark opposite is free.
