The Brampton Halt

Stopped on our way home for a meal with friends. The staff seated us quickly and were very pleasant and prompt with menus. Drinks arrived shortly after and we placed our food orders. Some of our party were vegans and they were impressed with the range of vegan options which the staff member explained very well. Once ordered the food arrived quickly and was delicious. We were all left with no room for deserts! The pub is very well set out and the gardens and outdoor seating is lovely and a train enthusiasts dream. We would highly recommend Brampton Holt for any occasion

This pub has become our go-to spot whenever we're in town visiting family, and it's not just because of the excellent food and staff. We've developed a bit of a tradition here – we may or may not have collected a few of their unique glasses as keepsakes over the years. 🍻 It's a testament to how much we enjoy this place. The atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food make it a must-visit every time we're in town.

We held our wedding reception in the Marquee at the Brampton Halt and had the most amazing day! We couldn't be happier we chose the Brampton as our venue. The staff and events team were great in the run up to the big day, and on the day everything went smoothly and to plan. The food was great, and the location was perfect for wedding photo's in the grounds of the pub. We got a lot of feedback from our guests saying they really enjoyed the food / venue and could see why we chose it over a 'stuffy' dedicated wedding venue. For any smaller wedding party (sub 100 people) it was really nice having the general atmosphere of a busy pub garden in the background and having other patrons and staff congratulating us during the day. Everything good until dessert, which was nice, but my husband nor I could taste the hazelnut syrup in the espresso ( extra 80p) so the waitress checked, came back & said that yes, the espresso had hazelnut syrup in it & walked off. Would have been good customer service to put another blob in the espresso for me. Bit disappointed & gobsmacked.

Nice restaurant in a lovely setting. The food was delicious but very expensive. We went for someone's birthday and the staff were friendly, polite and there wasn't too long a wait for the food. It's not really somewhere we would go again for food (only due to the price) but would go for a drink in the summer to enjoy the big garden.
