Pulled up on Friday night for meal. It was great! A lovely happy vibe from the crowd, extremely good staff all of whom were pleasant and a delicious meal, my smaller appetite plate was properly homemade pie with veggies and the best ever mash. Honestly, both meals some of the best pub food ever! That chef knows what they're doing.
Clean and comfortable rooms in separate building from the pub, so less possibility of noise. Fenced-in garden, which is great for my dogs and helpful and thoughtful staff. Also, very good value. I will stay here again when in the area.
Enjoyed a beautiful sunday roast here, a choice of several different meats as well as vegetarian and other options. The service was perfect, quick, attentive and unobtrusive. The pub itself was spotless and tastefully decorated with a convenient car park alongside. Book ahead for a table, you wouldn't to miss out!
We stopped at the Charlton Inn for lunch on the way to Blandford. Lovely staff and service, the food was great. Hot and well presented.l will be recommending to friends, and dinning there again.
This is a hidden gem you must visit. There is a vast range of top notch, good value, home made pub food and local beer all served by friendly staff who make you feel like you've come home. What more could you want?
Lovely overnight stopover on my journey along the south coast. Separate from the pub and far enough from the road not to be bothered by noise.
Had a nice gluten free meal in the pub too.
Excellent staff and brilliant food, really enjoyed our meal, I had the Devon Crab Salad and new potatoes and Belgian waffles and chocolate sauce and cream fir sfters, delicious, thank you.
What a lovely place to stay ! Discovered this charming Inn with amazingly friendly staff who did everything to make us (and the dog) feel welcome. Highly recommend the Sunday roast, but book ahead as they get busy and it's easy to see why, the food was delicious. Nice continental breakfast if you want it, which was delivered to the room the evening before so we weren't disturbed in the morning. Free parking on site. Lovely local walks and easy access into Blandford. We will definitely stay again when we next visit family in the area.
An impromptu visit to the Charlton Inn in Charlton Marshall was an absolute delight yesterday evening.
Although we were lucky to find a free table, and booking is probably advised, the Vegan Menu was surprisingly extensive and the food delicious (we had the Tagine and the No Fish burger).
