Smile Grill

Our recent visit to Smile Grill during our family day out for the Bournemouth Air Show and a relaxing beach experience left us with smiles all around. We scouted several dining options in the area, but Smile Grill's food instantly caught our attention. The mouth-watering offerings showcased a blend of flavours that we couldn't resist. Smile Grill pleasantly surprised us with its reasonable pricing. It ensured that our family could enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. While the portions were generally good, we felt that the fries accompanying the Half Chicken could have been a bit more generous. However, the real star of the show was the Kabuli Pilau with Lamb Shank—a must-try that exceeded our expectations. The establishment's cleanliness and ample space at the back made it an ideal spot for families. We appreciated the effort to create a welcoming environment. While the overall décor could benefit from an update, it's important to note that the ambiance didn't take away from the fantastic dining experience. A little refresh combined with the exceptional food would undoubtedly work wonders. It's worth mentioning that Smile Grill offers halal food and a range of vegetarian options, catering to various dietary preferences. The owner and staff at Smile Grill deserve special mention for their politeness and helpfulness. Their warm and attentive service added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. We will be back again on our next visit.

Fantastic food- fresh, super tasty and reasonably priced. We used to get take aways often when we lived in Bournemouth and enjoyed them all. We came back last night and had a sit in meal, that we really enjoyed. Flat bread, houmous & salad to start. Then Kabuli rice / lamb curry & Kabuli rice / chicken kebab (all generous portions). 3 cans of drink and the bill was a very reasonable £27. If you like posh venues it might not be for you but if it's excellent food you're after, then this is the place. Highly recommend 👌

The restaurant's food is very delicious, and suits the Arab taste, as it is characterized by a variety of meals, the workers are friendly and cooperative, and the smile does not leave them, and the restaurant remains open until after five o'clock in the evening I enjoyed it a lot and would recommend a visit.

Please don't be put off by first impressions! Usually you'll only find men of a certain influence frequenting smile grill, but I took my daughter and her two cousins here. We were well looked after by the staff, although to begin with we did have a few odd stares from the group of men sitting at another table. Let's be frank, this is a good outlet selling halal food so it attracts mostly Islamic customers, bit the food is fantastic! Looks like it could do with a deep clean, but I've been several times and I have only ever gotten great food! The chicken is out of this world! Sit down and get some soup and hummus with freshly baked flat breads. Totally yummy! They do take out too! Fairly priced too!

Great Afghani grill, take away and sit down. Serves the usual expected food, sheeh kebabs, chicken, lamb , currys, naans, and of course doner. Afghan food is considerably less spicy than Indian, so would suit those who don't like too much chillies. Served with mostly canned drinks or Ayran. They also serve you a humos and plain naan roti with salad, which is a nice touch. Seating is very basic though ample. Could probably seat 20 - 25 easily. Clean toilets. Service is polite and quick and cost is very reasonable. Expect to pay around £7-10 a head. Overall tasty grilled food at very reasonable cost.
