We were in the area and dropped in on the off chance of a free table. A busy and popular pub but loads of effort by staff to find us a table with wheelchair access. We had attentive service and the food was lovely. We all ordered steaks and they were cooked with care and consideration. We enjoyed a lovely meal in a relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely return to try out other options on the menu. All the food at surrounding tables looked amazing too! Highly recommend

We had the burger and chicken skewer with fries and special chips. Perfectly cooked and tasted great. Excellent service. Great staff and owner. Chatted to owner and couple of the bar team. Visited on a Saturday night end of August, meant to leave this review then. Going back to eat again so it reminded me I hadn't.

Really brilliant food. I had bouillabaisse, which I had last time I visited, and was delicious. My friends both had antipasto (on the menu as a starter but huge) and added chips so it was plenty big enough for a main. Warm chocolate fudge cake and brownie delicious. Good service. Will return when next in the area.

Visited Sunday, foods was great!! Lovely outdoor seating area. We all had different food and no one had any big complaints. I had the hanging kebab (just wished id of asked for home cut chips instead of fries) Service was a little slow we had table booked for 17:30pm, it was very busy, the staff were slow at taking our orders and didn't get our food till about 19:00pm when is had quietened down. would visit again but maybe not on a Sunday. our friends had been before and said it wasn't normal to take so long.

This pub is well appointed, inside and out and seems much larger today than I remember it from childhood - but that is many moons ago 😄. There's definitely more seating than there used to be, including some stylish outdoor options. The food was prepared with attention to detail and there are numerous appetising options to choose from, including some more common pub-grub choices but also some more gastro-pub style dishes. The atmosphere is lively without being intrusive - the place is obviously well liked by locals and regulars. Looking forward to visiting again to try some of the other dishes on offer.

Both mains off the special menu. Mrs T. Had the tandoori sea bream, rated it 10/10. I had the filly steak fries with onion/ peppers (steak and veg good, fries a bit soggy/not crispy= left half of them.) Wifey finished with the pear and almond tart/honeycomb caramel ice cream, very nice, will visit again

Found this place by searching online for good restaurants in Chorley. First time visiting here and would definitely go back. The service was excellent and the food came really quickly. I ordered the D+P dirty dog which was really tasty, well presented and had a good size portion. I fancied the hand cut chips instead of the fries and this was no problem for the staff. My friend ordered 2 starters as a main meal which were black pudding, poached egg, cheddar & pepper sauce stack which she said was absolutely fantastic. The poached egg was cooked to perfection. She also had the seared chicken livers which were also really tasty. The menu had tons of variety and I can't wait to go back and taste more dishes!! Highly recommend!

Easy to book via email. Loved the atmosphere- could hear ourselves talk as there's no booming sound system. Handy location and car parking. Pleasant interior. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Food was excellent. Would go again as I've still things to try off their menu. I had the lovely fishcakes for starters and the chicken supreme while my partner had the snuffling pig for main and mushrooms starter. Clean plates at the end says it all I think. Just didn't have room for dessert but coffee rounded off the meal just fine.
