I tried all the pubs in the area. And, by country miles far away, this one is the best, with very lovely personnel, fantastic beers and music, and very good food. I like this pub very much, with friendly people. It is my favorite after work.

Easily the best real ale pub in the area. ( but Wobbly Stamp micro bar beats it on regular range turnover.) Since pandemic they concentrate on the whole range of Hydes beers. (Hydes, Beer Studio, Provenance, Ralf and Alf.) Friendly pub refurbished to a very good standard. Lovely staff.
Great little place for a drink in the afternoon, me and my wife loved it and would come again, bit warm in there if I'm being picky,but outdoor smoking area is great and the staff are really quick and professional.

Remember this pub as The Star in the past. It's had a superb makeover and is a very attractive, comfortable and welcoming pub. An excellent range of Hydes ales. Good to see a pub that hosts regular live music nights. Named after a former Lord Mayor of Manchester who at one time owned the nearby historic Abney Hall that hosted Prince Albert, Benjamin Disraeli, William Gladstone and Agatha Christie during It's heyday.

Lovely centrally located bar in Cheadle with nice, covered courtyard out back. Good choice of real ales too.

Stopped by ordered two lattes,one tea. Came to a very reasonable £9.30. Bar staff cheerful and attentive. Would probably make this one of my locals if I stayed in Cheadle.
