22/07/23 update : still just as good; again, nice piece of cod, again, ate more batter than I would elsewhere, crisp, not at all oily, a portion of curry sauce each this time, again, pleasant & prompt service, chips maybe a little past their best but not a deal breaker.
Oh and please could you get some HP sauce, it's not a proper chip "buttie" without HP !

Pleasant service from the staff, nice bit of fish, I ate more batter than I usually do, can't beat chippy chips. I did tip but wish I'd given the tip directly so as to show my appreciation of the keen young guys who were serving and clearly making an effort - sorry guys.
Btw - nice curry sauce - more Indian restaurant than chip shop instant Chinese.

Lovely fish and chips. The fish was 5 stars but the chips could have been cooked a bit more for our liking so overall a 4 out of 5. Staff very friendly.

Called in today on our motorbikes. My son had fish and chips , I had pie and chips. Hit the spot, great price would call in again. The gorge was stunning to ride through but a camping trip is called for?

We had just done a charity bike ride from Bristol to Cheddar and the only place we could find to park the bike was by the chip shop, so we popped in for a portion of chips and they were delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and obviously love working together. A great place we shall return.

Food cooked fresh to order of good quality and very fairly priced.
Such little difference in price between the small, regular and large cod that if you're hungry just go large as this with medium chips is still only circa £10 per person which we consider cheap in the current climate (February 28th 2023).
Both staff members, which we understood were the owners, were very accommodating and friendly, opening the restaurant for us to sit in even though we were early.
It's also worth noting that they open at 11.30am daily for those of us who like to eat a bit earlier!
We will definitely be back!

Being a northern lass I struggle to find a good takeaway gravy but Ive found it here 😋 not forgetting the amazing curry sauce. Top notch food thats freshly prepared, so expect a little wait for food but rather that than dried out prepared food thats been sat for however long. Staff very friendly, especially the young man who takes my order. Very polite and chatty. 💯 👌
