The chips and battered sausage were stunning, and the curry sauce 😍 really friendly staff, even came out to ask us how the food was, which is unusual for a chippy. Will definitely visit again next time we are down.
visited Cheddar Caves last month and had a stopover at Cheddar Fish Bar, amazing food and very happy with the service. These were so accommodating, even though they weren't serving in the restaurant on the day (only take away) but honoured our request and let us eat inside. So really happy with thes
Lovely fish and chips. The fish was 5 stars but the chips could have been cooked a bit more for our liking so overall a 4 out of 5. Staff very friendly.
We had a lovely tasty meal, freshly cooked. Well priced and excellent service from overly staff. If we visit Cheddar again we will back for more !!
Called in today on our motorbikes. My son had fish and chips , I had pie and chips. Hit the spot, great price would call in again. The gorge was stunning to ride through but a camping trip is called for?
Love their fish and chips! The only issue we have was a kind of misunderstanding: we ordered (without knowing) in the take away area, and we sit in the 'eat in spaces. The waitress has been annoyed even explain that wasn't our fault. Obviously the food is lovely so I'll come back but I won't sit in
22/07/23 update : still just as good; again, nice piece of cod, again, ate more batter than I would elsewhere, crisp, not at all oily, a portion of curry sauce each this time, again, pleasant & prompt service, chips maybe a little past their best but not a deal breaker. Oh and please could you get s
Just popped in for a bag of chips with my little girl after the car boot. I’ve have never left a review here, but I just wanted to express my appreciation of the customer service (and chips). (Nick I believe & another young man) Apologies if incorrect. Absolutely lovely. You made our day! Thank you.
Good food , but quite pricey even compared to London standards, slightly long service , but overall I was glad to have come here.
We had just done a charity bike ride from Bristol to Cheddar and the only place we could find to park the bike was by the chip shop, so we popped in for a portion of chips and they were delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and obviously love working together. A great place we shall
Food cooked fresh to order of good quality and very fairly priced. Such little difference in price between the small, regular and large cod that if you're hungry just go large as this with medium chips is still only circa £10 per person which we consider cheap in the current climate (February 28th
Great food freshly cooked & still hot when we got it home, great service too
Being a northern lass I struggle to find a good takeaway gravy but Ive found it here 😋 not forgetting the amazing curry sauce. Top notch food thats freshly prepared, so expect a little wait for food but rather that than dried out prepared food thats been sat for however long. Staff very friendly, e
Absolutely delicious meal. We sat in and ate and it was all freshly made, couldn't fault anything, the cod was tasty, chips were lovely and the onion rings were amazing, I could of happily had a plate of them! and all at a great price too. Michelle who works there seemed to be multi tasking and she
I arrived having cycled over 10 hours in the freezing rain. Despite only having takeaway, the chap let me wheel the bike in and sit in the warm. Great hospitality and great fish and chips.
