Meal for two last Saturday. Great pub which we often travel 30 minutes to, lovely menu, fantastic food and service and a proper pub atmosphere - we will return regularly👍 The Black Lion was recommended by friends and they were absolutely right.

Fantastic pub, 7pm on a Friday and it's rammed.
Great selection of beers to choose from. As it was fish night I had fish and chips the portions were a very good size and well done.
TIP. If you want to eat book in advance, you will find a table with your name on arrival.

Lovely pub with friendly locals, even got to sit with the Levis local elderly village idiots 😁 fantastic food and real ale, nice friendly staff also. Can't wait to call again. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

First time visit but not the last. Travelled from derby to visit son who lives in leek. Looking for a nice little pub for lunch the black lion was recommended by sons neighbour. The food was excellent. The lunch menu had plenty of choice for us good old fashioned pub grub. Also the prices were reasonable. The staff were very wecolming and pleasant. As I said will go there again when in leek. 5star.

Definitely the highlight of a week on the canal system. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Prompt and attentive service and food to die for at a very reasonable price. Steak and ale pie a masterpiece, and the ales exceptionally good. Will be back.

A very wonderful place to go have a cold drink and a meal no matter the weather. The staff are extremely friendly and well presented, drinks are reasonably priced but the star is definitely the food! I had a lasagne meal and paid £12 but it was Definitely the best £12 I've ever spent on a meal! The food was absolutely delicious! Great place for family outings!

Paid my first visit to the pub today at lunchtime, we sat outside with it being a nice day, had a pint of Wainwright beer and ordered the steak and ale pie. A friend had the pulled pork bap. Both were very good! My steak pie had good chunks of steak. One of the best pies I've had, the chips were chunky and the onion rings homemade. Will definitely be back.

Great Country Pub . Staff are friendly and efficient.
Tonight we sampled Fish Friday and it was the best fish and chips ever .
Would highly recommend this place for a Meal or just pop in for a drink you will be made most welcome .
Please don’t have the two seats by the log fire if you go just in case we pop in 😂
