Olio Restaurant must not be missed if you like Italian food;
We were staying in Chelmsford for a few days and had booked a table for Sunday evening-all i can say is WOW!!
The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was absoutely delicious. My son said that the strawberry and clotted cream cheesecake was the best he had ever tasted! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone...
Superb meal, great staff always polite and friendly, cheesecake and tiramisu to die for. Our go to place for excellent italian food. Its a little bit of italy.
Went there for the first time last night and was very impressed.
The food was all cooked from fresh and everything arrived hot at the table. The portion size was very large and i was expecting small portions l. A lot larger portions that your usual italian restaurant! The staff was all friendly and service was very good.
2 starters, 2 mains, 2 deserts, 2 sides, 2 alcoholic drinks. All for less than £75.
Very great value and the food was fantastic. Will be definately returning soon!
Great place! Tried for starters mussles, and asparagus wrapped in Parma ham and parmesan. Both dishes were great. For mains we had a very generoud fruiti di mare and the specials which was a deliciously cooked Grouper. The staff was very attentive and friendly and we will definately be back. Olio is in our top five Chelmsford restaurants.
Fantastic place, well worth the drive to taste these dishes.
Highly recommended Italian restaurant.
Nice food, great atmosphere and excellent staff. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends and family. The chippy is really good 😋👍
Great little gem in Chelmsford. Amazing atmosphere and lasagne to die for 🤘
We had a nice experience at Olio’s. Service and food were of a decent standard . The wine list is overpriced based upon my regular experience with Central London restaurants. We sat in an under spaced upper area of the restaurant with 4 other diners which was a bit too cramped for my general liking. But otherwise good.
One of the very best restaurants I've been to. Food is absolutely to die for. I had hake on the most deliciously buttery mash and beautifully cooked vegetables. I even ate the broccoli which is not my favourite vegetable. The service was first class, attentive but not intrusive.
And actually reasonably priced. You won't be disappointed.
First class restaurant, superb staff, food and atmosphere. Recommend the house red wine.
Small Italian with a small but varied menu of good Italian food. Definitely somewhere to go if chain restaurants aren't your thing (it's good to support independent restaurants). Has a really extensive wine list. Our food was great - one pasta dish and a special (fish).
Not been out for a meal for years and the helpful knowledgable staff were very good. My wife enjoyed her fish mixed grill. I asked for and got a veal sauce which was not on the menu. Very tasty and well cooked. Pity my digestion health condition hit so I had to cut short the meal. A place well worth a visit or 2 but book in advance as the restaurant is very busy on Fridays and week ends. We shall return!
