Ask Italian

Hadn’t eaten here for over a year but my partner and I were looking for a nice outdoor table to enjoy the last warm Sunday afternoon of the summer. We eat out a lot in Chelmsford. The service was really excellent - knowledgeable staff who know how to be there when you need them and leave you alone when you’re enjoying your food! The food was gorgeous - wonderful fresh pasta (hard to find as it’s usually dried pasta), lovely burrata to start and partner had a great calzone. Really enjoyable and ten times better than Pizza Express! Highly recommend.

Went out for an impromptu pizza dinner and Ask Italian didn't disappoint. They found us a table and we're attentive throughout. The food was great, we had a meat pizza and a veggie calzone with sides of garlic bread all were cooked brilliantly and very tasty. The place was busy but we were neither rushed nor ignored and were able to enjoy the atmosphere and each others company. Overall a great meal and very good value for money.

We visited Ask Italian today for a three course meal. We were greeted at the door by a lovely gentlemen called Liam who helped us to check in on the NHS app and ensure we sanitised. We were seated promptly and Liam provided a copy of the gluten free options for me. The food was wonderful and there was a variety of choices given the current circumstances. Each course came out promptly and Liam checked before hand to ensure we were ready for the next course. As much as the food was delicious I do want to give recognition to Liam as he is the kindest server I've ever had. Nothing was too much for him and even under the mask you could tell he was happy and loved his job. He is clearly a credit to the Ask Italian team. A very memorable visit, thank you.
