The visit to the Empire was limited to collecting a Takeaway but that did not prevent the food being up the high standard we have always enjoyed there.
This will be the only time I have anything sour to say about the Empire. I was told by the great staff there the business is to permanently close in

The chicken satay starter and the lemon chicken as main are excellent.
Usually the Empire Food is great and their ribs are the best, however after last nights takeaway, we will give them a miss for a while, not a good takeaway.

I was last had something to eat here, was some thirty years ago when I used to stay in Danbury, I'm glad to say the food is just as great as I remembered. Even down to the spare ribs. Very welcoming as ever. I'm glad I took my family thier to try the food.
Wonderful lunch menu - with plates of food which were so tasty. I especially loved the sea bass, mushrooms, duck in pancakes and duck and lamb in lettuce. I have known the owner Tommy for 30 years and he has always produced consistent quality Chinese food. The service is very quick and the Empire spare ribs are fantastic. Keep up the good work Tommy.
