Exceptional meal as always and the staff always make us feel so welcome. We came here for our wedding breakfast a year ago and celebrated once again last night. The best birthday dinner at The Mahal in late September. It was a busy evening for the restaurant but they still did not disappoint! Well this was truly a wonderful evening.attentive staff, looking after my father, relaxing atmosphere, the most wonderful food. Was just wonderful with my family and friends before I head back to Canada.
The chief did nothing less than a wonderful original vegan tasting menu and my friends had wonderful vegetarian food and my parents so enjoyed there evening twice we have been to Mahal in Cheltenham both times legendary service and food.
I cannot recommend then enough.
We just left The Mahal after enjoying the tasting menu (one vegetarian and one meat). Every course was absolutely delicious - with such attention to detail made to each plate, an amazing concoction of flavours and topped off by the most amazing service. Truly lovely people and a lovely place - would highly recommend, for a special occasion or if you just fancy a delicious meal. Will definitely be back!
This was a meal to remember for a while. All the food we tried was so delicious and the staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful with determining what to eat. I want to go back now to try the 7course meal now! Highly recommend.
Authentic Indian food in a lovely setting. We visited with friends to celebrate my birthday. The food was outstanding. Each course was fresh, full of flavour and well balanced in terms of spice. The meat was tender and juicy and my wife’s vegetarian main tasted delicious. The restaurant itself is modern and the service exceptional. I can’t wait to go back and sample some other dishes from the menu!
A lovely modern Indian restaurant, that has a great atmosphere and very welcoming staff. The service was quick, staff were very polite and attentive and the food was delicious.
We attended for a birthday, which we made the restaurant aware of beforehand. They gave a small cake and a candle, which was a nice extra touch. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

My husband and I went to The Mahal last night for my 33rd birthday. We live about 12 miles away and love to support local restaurants. The staff were so attentive from the second we walked in, the 7 Course Tasting Menu was just beautiful (delicate flavours and the perfect amount of food) and the cocktails were delicious! We will be back very soon. Thank you so much for a brilliant evening and experience.
