Indus Tandoori Restaurant - Cheltenham - Photo album

We haven't eaten here for probably 7 or 8 years, when the economy was obviously better. A friendly smile and welcome when we arrived, so like the service the welcome hasn't changed. The free flower to the ladies as they leave have gone and the economic down-turn was evident from the number of empty
I have always enjoyed my visits to Indus. Friendly staff and very good food. I love the retro look. I have been eating there on and off since the early 1990s and have always been very satisfied with the dining experience. I'm aware of the "guide dog" incident which has been apologised for and I thin
We went to Indus last night which has a great quirky decor and lovely food and service. It’s a shame it seems to have been hit by the recent controversy over the manager refusing entry to a customer with a guide dog. The manager has since written a sincere apology and admitted that he didn’t know th
I visited The Indus Tandoori on the Bath Road this previous weekend on a Saturday night, The visit was a definite good choice from the moment I arrived with my friends. (There was 6 of us), We were seated with a table comfortable for 6 and all your meals and drinks together, The service was exceptio
July 2016 Just returned from Indus, yet again a wonderful meal. Lamb chop sizzler was superb, very spicy tender chops in a rich sauce. We always eat so well here. I don't often write reviews but Indus deserves it. Wonderful food, lovely service. Go, you won't be disappointed. Kate and Simon Chelte
Nice restaurant. Tasty indian food. Friendly staff. A shame it has to get such bad press for one mistake in the past. I had a great family meal here and have been going since I was a small boy. Give the guy a break after so many years of loyal service to the local community.
The quality of the food is fabulous and so is the quantity. The meal we had was superb. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We eat here regularly and it never disappoints.
I went to the Indus based on recommendations, I was very impressed with the food, service and the unique décor. The dish which I always enjoy is the Tandoori Mix Grill and King Prawn Sag Balti. The Starters are all very tasty too especially the Chicken & Lamb Tikka. I would say that the Indus is by
Me and my partner always go here. They do a a real nice (best in chelt) lamb tandoori starter mm 😋. Good polite waiter for service. And Ali the manager is a real nice man.
Best chicken tikka biryani ever! Lamb dish I had was recommended by the staff and I really enjoyed it. They weren't phased by our peccadilloes of keeping the poppadoms and sauces with the mains!
Cheltenham's finest Indian restaurant in my humble opinion. There are many good Indian eateries within Cheltenham but the Indus is my pick of the bunch. The food is always fresh and the Chicken Tikka always far better than the small chucks of heavily dyed Tikka you get elsewhere. The venue is ver
Indus is a traditionally decorated Indian restaurant that sets the scene for the evening. The menu selection is varied as we have come to appreciate offering both traditional and special recipes to suit most if not all palettes.
Genuine atmosphere and no shortage of nom makes this a great place for a party or takeaway. Want a cosy date spot? Perhaps a stag do? Maybe just an after-funeral comfort binge. Whatever you need, it's right here
An eclectic sense of interior design for sure :-) A fun design with lovely food & friendly service. Well worth a visit. Misty Lau was a new dish to us and very nice (8-8.5/10). Gosht Khatta Marsala had very good flavours but the lamb was not quite as tender as we would have liked. Chana Masala was a
