Highwayman Inn

This is a beautiful old pub. It's over 250 years old, but is very well kept. The food was delicious! I had the Highwayman burger and my wife had the Cod and chips. Both were some of the best we've had in the UK. The Honeycomb cheesecake was a great ending to our meal. The decor and atmosphere of the pub is comfy and warm. I wish I could have spent hours in the soft chairs next to the fireplace. This is high on my places to revisit when I return to the area.

Looking for somewhere to stop for lunch and saw the Highwayman Inn sign on the side of the carriageway. What a find, warm welcome on arrival, friendly and interactive staff. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it - as you can see by the pictures. If you’re passing a must visit, you won’t be disappointed

Lovely place, Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, Food is hot and really good, Definitely going again and we keep recommending.. Been back for lunch and still just as nice and food lovely and hot.. Lovely place sat in garden and really nice and relaxing.. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside and outside.

This pub is an absolute Bute. Hidden away of the a417 I have been driving past this place for over 11 years and finally we stopped in for dinner. First impressions is that it is a well maintained origin pub. With an open fire. It felt cozy but with plenty of space. Staff were friendly and funny from the start. Really made me and my family at ease! The menu was delightful and expansive and with a gluten-free person that was clear what they could have! I will visit it again 😃

Just popped in for the Sunday Roast as it was recommended by a friend. Overall a really nice meal that was reasonably priced. The roast pork itself was lovely as was the chicken, only minor flaw was the potatoes were bit tough as was some of the veg...But, overall, we all left very happy people, full to the brim, especially after the chocolate fudge cakes we had for dessert. It was also noteable how friendly, polite and helpful the staff were. It is about 20 minute drive from where I live, but we would have no hesitation in going back..
