Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely host who took us to our table. We were seated next to the open kitchen which was brilliant to watch the chefs at work, you can see the attention to detail and care that is poured into every dish. We had a second host who was explained the menu to us and was super friendly and attentative. We went for the master menu and it did not disappoint. If you haven't been here before I definitely recommend it has a bit of everything and is displayed on a beautiful wooden board. The only thing I think that should be different I. My opinion is the starter. The arranchini balls, I feel they should be on one of the corners nearest the table as I struggled to pop them on my plate. The food was incredible and did not disappoint. All in all I had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend going to visit.

Fun and flavorsome dinner venue for a special outing, if a bit pricey overall. We had been here once for lunch, and enjoyed it then, and the menu has now changed a bit. The flavours seemed more cohesive and punchy generally and we really liked the cocktails. One suggestion I'd change is the menu guidance of three to four dishes per person. They mostly range from 6 to around 12 pounds, and depending on your appetite, you might be fine with two. The vegetarian options were a little less delicious than the meaty ones, although the 'cauliflower bang bang' was a standout and I'd definitely come back for it again. Ambiance in the restaurant is dark hued and stylish. Our table was towards the front and caught some of the draught when other customers came in. The bill for three people was just over 180 with drinks and dessert. Everything is tasty, it feels right for a special occasion, but the prices might put it on a similar level to restaurants (not necessarily in Cheltenham) with a more creative, unique approach. The napkins that magically expand in warm water were a great touch, by the way.

Really enjoyed this restaurant visit. We popped in looking for a light lunch and a place to chat. Our first impression walking in was that this establishment was too opulent and formal for our needs. However, once seated, we quickly warmed to this place. There was a good selection of wines by the glass and the two we had were both good quality. We were recommended to have 2-3 dishes each and therefore ordered a selection of different dishes. We enjoyed them all with the wings the stand out dish for us. The food was of high quality and very tasty. We felt full and very satisfied when we left. The service just needs to be a bit less formal at lunchtimes and a bit more relaxed.

We visited BBQ & BOA on Saturday to celebrate my birthday with a party of 16. Service and the staff were fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating. The food was great also. Unfortunately, this was let down by 3 chicken dishes being undercooked and had to be sent back. I would definitely recommend and I hope to come back in the near future. Thank you for giving us a great experience.

Delicious! I went for the two course menu for £36 per person and had pork belly as a starter and chicken thighs for main with Korean fries as a side. Everything was super tasty! They also have really nice cocktails - it can get a bit pricey though if you have a few as they’re £11 each. It’s a nice looking place inside too, looks a bit more posh than casual so be prepared. 💁🏻‍♀️ Make sure to try their wings from the starter menu. You can also order bao buns on the side and have some with your mains. I definitely recommend doing that!

Firstly I'd like to thank the manager for allowing us to bring our 1 year old. I know it's a small restaurant and other customers can get annoyed with baby screams. The waiter was really helpful when recommending dishes on the menu and cocktails. The food was delicious but we wasn't a fan of the ribs because they had a strong smokey taste that overpowered the bbq. We liked how we it's a open kitchen style restaurant and the waiter was very attentive. Only negative thing I have to say is that it's quite pricey. But overall it was a great experience.

My partner and I stopped there whilst shopping in Cheltenham and I must admit, food was absolutely delicious! My favourite was the pickled slaw, bursting with flavours and colours. As other reviewers mentioned... it is not cheap!! I was surprised to pay the same price for starters ( they were called little plates or little portions) and mains! But the service, mocktails and food were fantastic so not upset about the size of the bill. Definitely a worthy treat

Excellent. If you want a one word review, that is it, excellent. What an experience, friendly helpful staff and a great menu. Don't overlook the popcorn it is well worth a try, great flavours and a fun sharer to enjoy with drinks while your other plates are prepared. We both ordered Bao, the Drunken Duck is wonderful and the Longhorn Brisket is worth the journey alone. I was genuinely considering asking for another one "to go" to enjoy later. I didn't, but I wish I had, that good! The Korean wings were very moreish. You get four big wings, coated in a beautifully crispy coating, packing loads of flavour. Great to share and excellent value. Pork ribs. 6 beautifully cooked, melt in the mouth, flavour bombs. These were in some ways the star of the show, excellent value and just so well prepared and presented. Ribs are such a disappointment when they aren't cooked well and I'm always hesitant to order them as a result. I would go back to Bao + BBQ just for the ribs, they know what they're doing and these are special. The Korean Fries are fun and a good way to break up the flavours between plates. The miso corn on the cob is good but feels expensive for what it is, the braised cabbage was very good too but it was missing something, I've had a similar dish a little better before. The desert option of the cinnamon apple doughnut, a great sharer, honestly if you have room get one for yourself, but it is a great way to end a meal. Overall a fantastic restaurant and one you should be making time to go and enjoy. Go with a friend, go by yourself, go as a group, you won't be disappointed.

I've visited here about 4/5 times now and I really think it has gotten better each time. All dishes are so flavoursome. We had the sharing board last time we went, absolutely epic!

Another gem in Cheltenham. Firstly the service is brilliant, informative, talking through the dishes brilliant and even made some recommendations that didn't disappoint. Then there's the food, the crispy duck bao is a real must try. The recommended smoked chicken was delicious and anything with the Korean chips completes the dish. My mates shared the feast board and it lived up to its name. If you've not been I highly recommend it. 👌🏾
