A lovely pub with great staff. The service is fantastic and the outside space is very large, so lots of room for larger groups.
The food during the day is a bit limited but very well prepared and presented. There is a large specials board for the evening but I have yet to try any of these.
So overall, this is my favourite pub in Chepstow. Highly recommended.
Lovely place to have a drink on a summer day with live music playing when I went. Busy but lively place. Didn't stay so gave the rooms a 4 as didn't want to 0 it as I'm sure they are fine :)
I haven't been to The Boat for years! Lovely, friendly staff, fab food with gluten free options. Yummy desserts! 😋 Options to sit inside, up or down or outside. Toilets aren't accessible with several steps up and down to them, which is a shame (but it is a very old building!).
Can't comment on the rooms as haven't stayed but The Boat has become our new 'local' when visiting family in Chepstow. It is in a fab location right on the river with lots of outdoor space- perfect on a sunny afternoon. Can really recommend their Sunday Roasts (worth booking in advance as they're popular!). Great service from the team and good bar selection.
We visited The Boat Inn for lunch on a Friday. Busy little place... but the food and service were exceptional. Haven't had such great service for a long time, and the staff are incredibly hard working. Well done team!
Excellent service, good food and seating area outside good view of the river. Very nice inside as well.
Really tasty food (Meal was huge) and great service. The ladies (very friendly and helpful) kept checking when we would like to order and made sure we always had drinks on the table. Views are really good outside, and I can easily see in the summer this place being packed. only negative is that parking can be really hard forcing you to have a 10 min walk from the nearest car park. If you wish to take anyone with disabilities you will need to drop them off and then go park the car.
Good selection of beer.
Good selection of nice, freshly cooked food. The biggest roast dinner I've ever had in a pub!
Spent a lovely couple of hours sitting outside in the sunshine 🌞 with a pint or two of local ale, and had some spicey chicken skewers - delicious. They had plenty of staff on hand so there was very little waiting, and a good queue system for the bar.
Lovely setting down by the river, the pub was very busy and the food took a while but it was worth waiting for. Good sized portions and all bread is door stops!
