New Regent

I LOVE this restaurant!! The food is wonderful, the restaurant is beautifully designed and the staff are friendly and courteous. I have been in hospital for over 4 weeks and am now home but confined to bed so a friend collects a takeaway for me - unfortunately I live outside the delivery area. Last Thursday evening I had tofu with mixed vegetables, asparagus with cashew nuts, mixed vegetable fried rice with egg and chips with satay sauce. My friend had just mushroom fried rice while stealing my asparagus!! Usually I have edamame and vegetable spring rolls as well and my friend has chicken in black bean sauce along with a hot and sour soup. Tonight's fare will be tofu and mixed vegetables, vegetable gyoza, satay sauce, egg fried rice and a few chips. Yes, I love the food!! It is by no means a cheap takeaway but I prefer to pay good restaurant prices and love every mouthful. 👏🍨👍🥥🍜🥢🍹🦽

We came here for warmth after an aborted visit to Harts Boatyard where the boiler had broken down! The food was really good with a mixed hors d'oeuvres starter and 1/4 crispy duck. We found the waitress particularly amenable with a good sense of humour. The total bill was £55 with a carafe of wine which we thought was good value.

Just ordered our first takeaway (based on reviews from our local Facebook group). Really impressed with every aspect, food arrived on time, piping hot and tasted amazing. Based on our experience tonight, we will be using The New Regent as our new takeaway delivery and couldn’t recommend them more highly.
