A proper pub, none of that Greene king nonsense.
Order the pies they are unreal! We ordered the steak pie as well as the balti pie and they were BIG, packed with filling and delicious.
Just a shame we were too full to try the sticky toffee pudding.. so we will have to go back!

Popped in on the hope we could get a table for 6 of us. Sharon explained they had a big party in but can get us in, so glad, what a fab night. The food was excellent, the service was excellent too. We had a great night, Sharon was warm, welcoming and such a laugh, what a great host Thank you all for making our night so pleasant.

Went for Sunday lunch today. Amazing food - had the brisket which was absolutely beautiful! Very generous portion sizes, huge Yorkshire pudding and extra gravy provided on request. Staff were very attentive. Will definitely be back

5 of us dined here on Mothers Day. It was busy but well organised. Tables were cleared in timely fashion, food served quickly and piping hot. It was the best Sunday lunch I personally have had in a pub/ restaurant. Roast sirloin was excellent. We had a varied selection of vegetables and good portions. Staff were helpful and attentive. Overall we had a great meal and I will go back.

Absolutely gorgeous from the moment we walked in the door. It was my wedding anniversary & everything was fabulous. Chocolate orange cheesecake was amazing. The pies were full of fillings. Landlady was very busy but attentive to every guest & welcoming. Wouldn't hesitate going back.

A lovely pub offering an exceptional welcome. On entering you are treat like you are the most important customer. We went today for Sunday lunch and booked a table for eight. A lot of the staff are quite young but are so proffesional and friendly. The food was amazing, we'd reccomend it to anyone.

First visit here in a good few years and wasnt disappointed.
Love the new decor. We'd notice something different every few minutes.
Arrived a little late but no bother at all. Staff showed us to our table and took drinks order.
Allowed ample time to go over the menu and make our choices.
Food was fantastic! Burger was huge and salmon was one of the biggest fillets I've seen!
Staff were brilliant, very helpful & prompt to resolve any issues (not that we had any!)

Booked a table for 8 but said 2 others may join. In the end only 8 but no problems to them, 10 places laid they just took 2 away.
Service was good and the food better. We had a lovely time facilitated by the seamless service . Car parking is a bit tight but such is in popular places
